Like many who watched and waited for the supposedly "major announcement" from defensive tackle Darnell Dockett, the Cardinals ultimately were amused by the player's declaration -- in the most positive terms possible -- that he was abandoning his quest for a new contract and demand for a trade and recommitting himself to the franchise for the first of the three remaining years on the contract he previously signed.
Per a league source, the one or more members of the front office were "laughing" about Dockett's declaration.
Perhaps that development will prompt another "major announcement" from Dockett.
I guess we'll all have to follow him on Twitter to find out what it might be.

The Cardinals organization laughing at anyone is funny in its own way. They have been one of the worst ran franchises since there days in St.Louis. The Bidwell family are just about the worst owners in sports, PERIOD!!!!
If I worked in their front office, I'ld be laughing too. The guy made himself look like a total jackass.

Of course they should laugh. Was anyone really holding their breath with this situation? For this guy to declare it a "major announcement" that he's going to show up sounds alot like something our least favorite diva QB would do.....Somewhere out there Brett Favre is smiling
Wow this must be the slow time of the year where "writers" have nothing else to write so they try to start things in organizations. Florio needs to start doing some real articles. This is something an amateur would write.
