The man who became the face of Tennessee’s first and only NFL franchise will be remembered in a unique, and fitting way.
LP Field, the Titans’ home stadium, will be open Wednesday and Thursday to fans who want to pay their respects to quarterback Steve McNair.
The venue will be open from 9:00 a.m. until 7:00 p.m. each day, and visitors will be able to leave personal messages in a book that will be given to McNair’s family. Also, video boards will show McNair highlights, and a photo
mural of his NFL career will be displayed.
Also, the team’s ticket office will be accepting donations for the Steve McNair Foundation.
Will the photo mural include those cute parasailing pictures?…….
First, my deepest condolences go out to the McNair family and the family of the girl.
Second, there is a reason why coaches last a long time in this league and why some do not. While I am an avid Ravens fan, I think Jeff Fisher may very well be one of the greatest coaches to ever stand on the sideline. Not only is he a great coach but he is also a mans man. The speech he gave the other day was incredible. The Titans are increbily fortunate to have such a great coach and individual on their side.
Football smarts and great character are what makes great coaches……Jeff Fisher is a GREAT coach!!
Too PC for me. (Politically correct) Just seems to much for team to do. Seems weird.
Does anyone else find it ironic and hypocritical that the Titans are “opening their doors” for fans to come remember McNair, when the last thing they did to the man was lock him out of that very facility? The Titans should be ashamed of the way the treated him, and someone in the media should have the balls to say it.
Anyone who knows me knows I love all levels of football i.e. college and NFL. I know about Steve McNair at Alcorn St., with the Tennessee Titan’s and the Baltimore Raven’s. I know about how much repsect Steve McNair garnered from teammates as well as opposing players.
However what about the “man” himself. Steve McNair got his brains blow out because he was cheating on his wife and kids. Something tells me this wasn’t his first extramarital fling but it really doesn’t matter. I feel sorry for his family especially that his wife had to find out this way. And what a fool she must feel like-how do you grieve for someone who’s shit all over you and your kids!
@ IBleedBrownandOrange:
Football is a business. Yes, that situation was ugly, but they were making the right business decision. This is why you don’t run a team.
mbbrazi:
The truth is, we don’t know most of the details. So, frankly, there’s no point in dwelling on them like that. How about you just hush and remember a great football player?
It’s funny how willing they are to open their doors to him now that he’s dead. Considering that the last thing the Titans did to him while he was alive was lock him out.
@IBleedBrownandOrange
Steve’s cap # was upwards of 23 Million…name people who earn that each year and you will find out that both sides knew the only way to stay was to change the contract and that wasnt going to happen by Steve(cant blame him) so they sent him off to Ravens…
he also failed his physical…..
oh and bbq
….you might be wrong….ibleedbrownandorange may be running the show…..I mean they have been so good lately….
Can we please call it The Coliseum during his memorial period. He never played at LP Field and The Coliseum was a terrifying place for opponents to go into during his hey-day.
Who do they think he is? Michael Jackson.
mbbrazi says, “The truth is we don’t know most

Well mbbrazi we know that Steve McNair was
not giving the Cadillac and condo to a twenty
year old girl for compliance with foster care
duities.
