Though the Tennessee Titans have been distracted by the sudden passing of the man who became the face of the relatively young franchise, there’s still business to be done in preparation for the coming season.
The Titans have announced that contracts have been signed by third-round tight end Jared Cook and fourth-round tackle Tony Kropog.
Cook’s four-year, $2.45 million agreement was reported on July 2.
To create room for the two new players, the Titans cut cornerback Christian Morton and dumped receiver Craphonso Thorpe.
Eight of eleven draft picks have now been signed by the Titans.

(He He) The Titans “dumped” Crap!!
Really? Craphonso Thorpe?
Imagine: “Please, call me ‘Crap’.”
They “cut CB Christian Morton and WR Craphonoso Thorpe”.
That’s a far more efficient way of saying it. No need to mention that they dumped Craphonso!!
It’s already in the name. Poor guy, he was probably tormented in school about his name. Well, some like Florio still make fun of his name at least.
