The late Steve McNair's contributions to the game of football have not ended. His son, Steve Jr., has been generating plenty of interest from college football programs.
As explained by John Taylor at CFT, Steve McNair Jr. has received offers from eight schools. (Including West Virginia.)
Alabama and Florida State also reportedly are interested, but scholarship offers have not yet been made.
Unlike his father, Steve McNair Jr. is a receiver. And he likely has been catching a few passes lately from Brett Favre; McNair plays for Oak Grove High School in Hattiesburg, Mississippi.

way to fit Favre into the story.
I'm sure in 4 years when steve jr gets into the league Favre will be unretiring again so maybe he can throw passes to him in the NFL too
Leave it to Florio to find a way to get Favre into this story.
"Leave it to Florio to find a way to get Favre into this story."
How can you mention Oak Grove HS and not mention the Godfather of the Waffle House?!? Especially if the kids a receiver. You know he's been catchin' Favre passes the last 4 summers.
Florio also mentioned West VA. U and didn't mention P. White so give him a little credit.
Farve and WVU all in one story....florio better change his pants.
PROfootballtalk....since when did it become high school football talk?
To get into WVU, McNair Jr. will have to make it rain(like the PacMan), get a DUI (like WVU head basketball coach Bob Huggins, or Owen Schmitt), or be a racist like like WVU head football coach, Bill Stewart. However, once enrolled, McNair Jr. would be assured a fraudulent WVU MBA...just like WV governor Joe Manchin's daughter's.
now if only he can find a Vick connection too
If Florio said... His son will be in the same airport as Favre, then yes, your comment holds some water, but, in this case it's totally relevant. I mean, Favre WILL be throwing passes to him. Pretty cool.
