Dolphins keeping eyes on corners

Though the Miami Dolphins apparently are happy with the cornerbacks currently on their roster, they reportedly are keeping their eyes open in the event of injury or ineffectivness.

According to Barry Jackson of the Miami Herald, the team specifically has “spoken casually” with agents about a few available corners, including Mike McKenzie and Travis Fisher.

The team apparently is not yet interested in considering a return from former standout corners Patrick Surtain and/or Sam Madison, both of whom remain avaiable.

Struggles by rookies Vontae Davis and Sean Smith or Eric Green also could prompt the team to explore adding a cornerback.

Other corners on the roster are Will Allen, Will Billingsley, Joey Thomas, Jason Allen, and Nathan Jones.
