The St. Louis Rams have signed third-round cornerback Bradley Fletcher to a four-year contract that includes an $892,298 signing bonus, according to a league source.
The deal includes a fourth-year escalator clause that can boost Fletcher’s 2012 salary to $1.202 million if he plays 35 percent of the snaps during any of the first three years of the deal.
The 6’0,” 200-pound former Iowa player was named honorable-mention All-Big Ten Conference last season. Fletcher’s agent has also announced the deal on his Twitter account.
Prior to being selected with the 66th overall pick of the NFL Draft, Fletcher ran the 40-yard dash in 4.44 seconds and posted a 40-inch vertical leap.
Fletcher intercepted three passes last season and registered 60 tackles with 10 pass deflections.
For his career, Fletcher recorded 152 tackles, five interceptions and 17 pass deflections.
