Rosenhaus reels in another Redskin

Agent Drew Rosenhaus represents many NFL players.

He also represents many members of the Washington Redskins.

And he's just added another one.

Rosenhaus has announced that Washington tight end Fred Davis, a second-round pick in the 2008 draft, has hired the Miami-based firm.

Typically, a veteran player retains Rosenhaus in the hopes of scoring a new contract -- or a trade to a team that will provide one.  The fact that Davis has completed only one year of a four-year rookie deal might make that task a tough one to accomplish.

Davis becomes the ninth Redskins player represented by Rosenhaus.  Per NFLPA records, the others are running back Rock Cartwright, linebacker London Fletcher, linebacker Rocky McIntosh, defensive tackle Anthony Montgomery, receiver Santana Moss, running back Clinton Portis, fullback Mike Sellers, and receiver Devin Thomas.

Media reports from 2008 indicate that Davis previously was represented by Adam Heller of DeBartolo Sports; the firm's web site, as of this posting, still lists Davis as a client

Davis' biggest claim to NFL fame to date was the fact that he supposedly overslept not long after being drafting, missing practice during a mandatory minicamp.

So maybe Rosenhaus landed Davis by using the same pitch that once was used on fictional marathon champion Jean-Paul Jean-Paul.

The only play I remember from Fred Davis last year was a TE screen or swing pass or something that lost 3 yards. Haven't heard too much else about him except him working out and being really strong, but that's probably not enough to start angling for a new contract. Still, with Danny at the helm, you never know.

3 catches for 27 yards in 2008, and he hires a new agent?...Will RosenWhore tweet he out performed his contract?...

I guess getting paid a million dollars per catch isn't enough for him

Mixing in a money hungry agent who gets every single dollar for himself and his clients with an owner who overpays players? Not a good sign for the Skins.

Shocker scumbag Rosenhaus steals another client! Wierd the client also has baggage and probably a low wonderlic score too... Not shocking that a player with little character picks an agent with even less character.

Can't wait to watch Rosenhaus rep Davis or is it the other way around. It is all about Drew, Drew & Drew...

Gee...that list of Redskins severely lack any kind of contractual issues with the Skins. If anything...there are a number of re-worked contracts among that list that helped bring other additions to the roster.

Guess Florio couldn't help take another shot at the Redskins.

Yet he pulled what the French call: "Le Wheeff"

Swing and a miss again Flo-Ri-Duh.

It must suck to make yourself look like such a fool when trying to talk down a mediocre team. It's like losing to a retard in a spelling bee. Or losing a race to a man with no legs.

    I pity you little Mikey.

ACTUALLY.... it was a brilliant play by FRED DAVIS.... no, not Drew R..... but when the Skins decided it was a GREAT idea to give an End-Around to him.... I mean, who DOESN'T call End-Arounds to their Tight Ends??? A great 3 yard loss.

Why did draft Fred "Sleepy" Davis when CC is heading into the prime of his career? It's not like Jim Zorn's double tight end packages are going to be around past next year.

How did we pick him with our 2nd pick in the 2nd round when we already have a pass catching, pro bowl TE in Cooley? Best player on the board is Vinnys motto, was he really the best? (Hell No) We should have taken somebody on the OLine even if was for depth. Maybe we could trade him (Davis) for a draft pick. Remember when Zorn said " We are going to use a lot of two tight end formations" how is that working out Zorny? Still don't know why we drafted this kid when that wasn't a area of need. HAIL

Don't remind me of that play.

You can probably pinpoint the downfall of last season back to that play.

I will reiterate that point...Who calls an end-around to a rookie TE???

    Ridiculous.

Rosenhaus represents Redskins for the same reason Willie Sutton robbed banks - that's where the money is (for an agent of a mediocre player, anyway).

"Davis previously was represented by Adam Heller of DeBartolo Sports"

Maybe Eddie stole from him like he tried to steal from his NFL business partners.
