Per a source with knowledge of the situation, John Tomase of the Boston Herald is off the Patriots’ beat.
Newcomer Ian Rapoport of the Birmingham News will take the lead position, with Karen Guregian serving as backup.
But Tomase still will be working for the Herald, covering the Red Sox.
And so there will be much rejoicing in New England.
Despite the fact that Ron Borges still is employed by Herald, too.
