Koren Robinson is waiting for team to call

Add Koren Robinson to the long list of receivers ready for any job that opens in August.

ESPN's John Clayton reports that Robinson is staying in shape and waiting for a team to call.

The Seahawks called on Robinson after Week Two last season, and he filled in admirably, considering the circumstances.  The ninth overall pick from the 2001 draft posted 400 yards in twelve games.

Seattle and Green Bay are the most likely landing spots if injuries strike, since he is most familiar with their offensive systems.

Donte Stallworth should hire him as a driver.

Vikes need a receiver. Heck, they could use a right tackle too, and Tauscher is unlikely to be re-signed. Bubba Franks is available. They could put together a roster of aging ex-Packers for one fleeting chance at glory.

Okay. Jew boy has certainly raised his game. No question that he is now PFT-worthy. (Props to ya, G.) And, thank Yahweh, huh?

But where the F is Florio? Sittin' on his ass, drunk, in the sand somewhere?? He posted at 4 o'clock this afternoon or so... I guess the margaritas at his awesome summer vacation locale are kick-ass. Geez... who knew Virginia Beach was such the hot spot??

Oh please. There is ZERO chance of Green Bay resigning Robinson. If they didn't want him prior to last season, why would they sign him one year later when he is one year older? If any of the Pack's top 5 receivers get hurt, they've got a couple of young prospects that they would be happy to give an opportunity to.

Robinson could still be signed, he played okay for Seattle last year, considering their lack of offense.

Some joke postings about Minnesota, but don't count out the vikings if Favre signs. Favre was a big supporter of Robinson in GB.

  17. George says: July 19, 2009 12:21 PM

What are you people talking about? Koren Robinson has a checkered past, but he showed last year he can contribute to an offense. Gone are the days when he could be a number 1 or 2 reciever, but, since his options are few, he would come back and play for a low price and be content with being a number 3 or 4 reciever. I hope everyone isn't content with the Seahawks reciever corps just because of T.J. We could use another capable guy to add to questionable depth at the wide reciever position.
