Patriots ink another draft pick

The Patriots have reportedly signed seventh-round pick Darryl Richard to a four-year agreement.

According to Christopher Gasper (who is working hard this Wednesday evening), the deal was reached last week.  Richard had four sacks and ten tackles for a loss at Georgia Tech last season.

Richard may be the smartest of New England's twelve draft picks.  He scored a 37 on his Wonderlic, the highest of any defensive lineman in the draft.  He's already earned a master's degree in business administration.

The 290-pound prospect is expected to play defensive end in New England's 3-4 scheme.

    He's expected to sit on the bench/make the practice squad... If he does play, it'll be at DE.

    Who cares. The Pats are on the decline, thank god. Who will rush the passer? Who will cover the AFC East receivers?

    Yeah yeah. I want those losers to fail. I'm SO SICK of The United States of Brady.

    I can watch him in pre-season HD from NLFN. Good to have connecting topics on this site.

    @JB-Dolfan-CA :
    As a "dolfan" you should stand up, place your hand over your heart and state your subservience to the United States of Brady.
    I hope you enjoyed your 11-5 wildcat-laden fluke of a season last year because it's time to come back to reality. The only thing in Miami that will be working in the postseason will be Joey Porter's flapping gums.

    Ahh... nothing like a good old fashioned dolfan smackdown to let you know that the season is just around the corner.
