Pats strike deal with another second-round pick

The New England Patriots had a whopping four second-round picks in the 2009 draft.  One is under contract (if the league doesn't scrap it).

Another one might be soon.

According to Christopher Price of WEEI.com, the Pats have agreed to terms, on a preliminary basis, with offensive lineman Sebastian Vollmer.

Vollmer was the fourth of the team's second-round selections.

Christopher Gasper of the Boston Globe has reported that a deal between Vollmer and the Pats is close.

Vollmer worked at both left tackle and right tackle during offseason practices.

I hope he can get Nick Kaczur to get off his rear and do something worth being on the team for...

Like not get caught with tons (literal tons) of pain killers.

Vollmer moves very nimbly for a 6' 7" 315 lb. guy - he may wind up being the guy protecting Brady a few years from now.

[by the way - why does PFT routinely tell me I'm not logged in when I am?]
