People, you need to keep your eyes on the still bouncing ball. It is highly suspect that this cop would encounter McNair again on the road. I like the theory that he ran the license plates first then proceeded to have some fun with McNair by torturing him some more. McNair was not easy picking just for the criminals and the hos.
Anyway, law enforcement still has a mess in its hands. For starters, this DUI seems to be the catalyst that sent this girl over the edge resulting in two deaths.
She was obviously the designated driver. This cop’s previous and initial assessment is probably correct, that she was not drunk. The cop told the truth “accidently” and now it’s coming back to bite him. Now after the fact, he says and his cohort at the PD agree that she was under the influence.
A Black guy with a white chick driving a nice car? Even today it makes some white folks irrational, yes, even today. Just ask Jason Taylor and his own experience being Black driving by with white wife. So spare me the sanctimonius NOT IN THIS DAY AND AGE WITH A BLACK PRESIDENT CRAP.
A lawsuit against the PD by her family may have some legs. Time to bring in the feds cause TN can’t handle this. This thing was wrapped up too quickly and tooooo neeeeeatly.
Something is bugging the ‘good cops’ about this whole thing otherwise they would not be investigating Steve’s tormentor. I have nothing against cops. Thankless job, lousy pay, but this cop has a stench about him.
PS: I’m not excusing Steve for what he did. He is with his maker now who will take care of this NOT YOU.

This is what people do. I know surgical nurses that crack jokes about the patient in the operating room. Aircraft mechanics that cross themselves and pretend to pray and then bless the new parts after a repair. In fact a few weeks ago an acquaintance that works at Burger King threatened via the drive-thru window and in full view of her boss to put a booger in my Steakhouse Shroom n’ Swiss because I asked her to run over to Whataburger next door and get some patties that didn’t taste like cardboard. She was joking. I think she was joking.
This is nothing but people trying to blame someone else for a crazy bitch shooting somebody else and herself. Oh he was unprofessional on a phone call. Shouldn’t have stopped them in the first place. If he hadn’t they would never have broken up and McNair would still be alive and screwing her on the side. blah blah blah

The Steelers let Mike Webster rot under a highway overpass before public pressure made them step up… but they were too late. The Steelers were also caught cheating the salary cap. The Steelers’ owner, Dan Rooney, is now Ambassador to Ireland even though he knows F-all about foreign relations, and why? Payback from Comrade Obama. Who the F are you to preach about morals, Steeler fan? How can you stomach rooting for a team like that? Bet you have to lick James Harrison’s jock just to get the taste out of our mouth.

MCNAIR SHOULD OF MADE BETTER CHOICES IF HE AND HIS WIFE WERE NOT WORKING THERE ISSUES OUT HE SHOULD OF BEEN MORE INVOLVED WITH THE FOUR MEN HE HAD AT HOME NOT A TWENTY YEAR OLD. MCNAIR BEING WITH A TWENTY YEAR OLD THAT NIGHT LEFT HIS SELF OPEN FOR TALK BETTER CHOICES. Just did some quick research since there seems to be a big descrepency in what cops supposedly make. It differs greatly by area and it appears that Ca and NJ are the most highly paid, with NJ tops having an average of 88K a year. Tennessee average is 43K. The national average for a state trooper is around 49k.

The officer was having a private phone call with another police officer, not having a conversation with Kazemi or McNair after he stopped them. Last I checked, these people are human.
Is there any evidence that stopping the vehicle was unwarranted? Is there any evidence that the officer’s behavior towards Kazemi or McNair was inappropriate? Is there any evidence that her arrest for DUI was unwarranted?
Much ado about nothing, in my opinion.

Don’t human being have the right to their individual tone?
Why does every interaction between blacks and police always seem to include an accusation of misconduct by the police?
If nothing else ccan be found incorrect they are investigating his “tone”.
How do you investigate tone?
Since when do Miranda Rights are only proper in limited tones?

Stopping a car has to be one of the scarier jobs and one I wouldn’t want to do, so I tend to give cops a mulligan if they’re a little dicky at times. That said, from what’s been reported so far this guy seems to have had a personal problem with McNair that should be checked out. What I take most from this story is that dlcreed thinks cops make $35k. Love to know where that is true outside of their first six months on. More than 3/4 of police where I am make over $100k after 5 years and it’s pricing a lot of people out of the area. Our last police chief made more than Ray Kelly and had 40 cops to (poorly) supervise

But Taylor sounds like one of those tin badge douchebag zealots…
You know–the ones who started doing ride-alongs in middle school.
The ones who over-enthusiastically enjoy handling “billy clubs” in their spare time.
The same ones who started out as toy cop security guards, and whose main qualification to enter into law enforcement was that they were able to actually get out of the lockers they were stuffed into during high school.
