Bears staying in Bourbonnais, for now

The Chicago Bears are on the verge of finalizing a contract to maintain their training camp digs on the campus of Olivet Nazarene University in Bourbannais, Ill., for at least one more year.

According to Brad Biggs of the Chicago Sun-Times, the Bears are about to sign a contract to continue to hold camp at the Christian school through the 2010 season.

Per the report, the Bears and the college have mutually decided to exercise the option year already contained in the contract.

This will be the eighth year that the Bears have been holding training camp at Olivet Nazarene.

Of course, the Bears, who report to camp on July 30, might not look to stick with Bourbannais forever.

Biggs noted that the Bears have been looking into Lewis University as a possible future destination for their annual training camp.
