The Cardinals have spoken to free agent tackle Levi Jones recently about his possible interest in the team, according to ESPN.com.
Jones is one of the most interesting names still available in free agency.
The former Bengal tackle has struggled through a variety of injuries in recent years, but is a capable starter when healthy. He played well enough early in his career to earn a $30 million deal from Cincinnati in 2006.
If signed, Jones would likely compete with incumbent starting Cardinals left tackle Mike Gandy. Gandy has a cap charge of $5.8 million this season.
Before signing Jones, the Cardinals would have to make sure he is fully recovered from offseason surgery.
The interest between the two sides is apparently mutual. Jones said in late April that he'd "definitely" like to play for the Cardinals.
Jones grew up in the Phoenix area and played his college ball as a walk on at Arizona State.

Levi is a capable OT when healthy. But considering the Bengals still have a training table named after him he's risky.
I still don't understand how the Bills do not seem his as an upgrade. Are they planning on using the no-huddle so much that he won't be able to keep up?
