Though the transformation hasn't been quite as dramatic as Jared Fogle of Subway infamy, Redskins offensive lineman Mike Williams has lost nearly 100 pounds.
He started at 450. A source with knowledge of the situation tells us that Williams currently bends the springs to 354.
His goal? 345 pounds by the time training camp opens.
A far more impressive feat would be for the fourth overall pick in the 2002 draft, a relatively rare first-round bust at the tackle position, to make the final 53-man roster after two full years out of football.
Nine pounds to go for Mike Williams

Vacations over, back to work.
Rare tackle first round bust, such as Robert Gallery and and Tony Mandarich (Ouch: Aikman ... Mandarich ... Barry Sanders (3), Derrick Thomas (4), Deion Sanders (5).
Like many graduates of the U of Texas, Williams was just too lazy to earn his huge contract as the overall No. 4 draft pick. It seems that the great majority of first round draft choices from the U of Texas end up being busts and just a few ever survive in the NFL. After essentially robbing Buffalo of the No. 4 draft pick and the money that went along with it, I hope Williams fails in his current attempt to make the Redskins roster.
Even if he doesn't make the 53 man roster at least he is a lot healthier than he was when he started. He's going to make the roster though.
Maybe he could offer some tips to Pat and Kevin.

We have one of those guys named Michael Huff.
How do you let yourself get to 450... I'd be on a diet before I got to 450. I mean, gaining and losing 100 lbs is not a joke.
Good job Mike, you can do it!
John Lynch = destined for Canton? By what measure?
nice job mike... hopefully you make the roster but if not losing that kind of weight is amazing in itself
