Tarheel23- As long as Al Davis is involved with the Raiders they will be the laughing stock of the league just like they have been for the past five years. There is no current team that is as pathetic as the Raiders are. (not even the Buffalo Bills)

gotta love the raider haters, and the al davis bashers………GO RAIDERS!! For the first time in a long long time, we have a “team” with no cancer on the team. I get a kick out of how bad the raiders are, yet every player that was worth anything resigned with the team…. it just has to be because everybody hates it there.

Who the hell do you think calls ALL of the shots for the Raiders, who fired all the Head Coaches, Asst. Coaches, who made the bad draft decisions?
The “reality” you reference is that the Raiders are the most dysfunctional organization in all of professional sports and that isn’t going to change until Al Davis is gone.
It doesn’t matter if they win 1 game, 3 games, 5 games or more in any one season the team is leaderless and the organization, as long as Al is in control, is geared for failure.
I will give them (Al Davis) credit for doing one thing successfully. They have built a powerful brand and have some of the most faithful and fervent fans in all of sports.
If I were a Raiders fan, which I’m obviously not, I would root for Al to develop a management succession plan rather than focusing on how many games they might win this season or next.

Hooded- Are you still on crack or did you just stop using? A top 5 corner ? Man that is by far the dumbest thing I have ever read in the comment section. He is and has been declared the beat corner in the NFL. Name some one who is even on his level. Champ Bailey was the best 3 years ago. No one elese is even close. It’s the Asomugha era. Get used to it.

@JSpicoli Al has and exercises ultimate authority over that organization, he bears the blame for the failings. The team has a guaranteed losing record in the division for this decade with so far winning only 7 games vs KS, 7 vs Den and 6 vs SD.

If you think Florio is a Raider Hater, you must not have been around recently when he wrote about how big a part that Davis has in the history of the NFL. The address of the news page ends with “rumor-mill”. If you want opinion free, “just the facts” reporting, go somewhere else.
Nnamdi doesn’t look for media attention – intentionally or accidentally – and doesn’t say things just to get quoted (Warren Sapp). “Only true shutdown corner” might be an exaggeration, but no question top 5 corner, best Raider & a man among boys off the field.

Are you fricking kidding me? Yes the Raiders have underperformed since losing the SB. But have you ever heard of a team called the Lions? Yeah, they failed to win ONE game last season. At least we won 5. And, the Buffalo Bills were in the playoffs WITH a rookie QB.

Nnamdi Asomugha is the best corner in the league bar none. His opinion should be troubling to Al Davis… because he’s basically the best player on the Raiders… bar none.

Since Florio’s article is so slanted “RAIDER HATER” I thought I would share with you some of the interview with Nnamdi and Jerry McDonald (Bay Area Sport Writer)
Q: How much does the coaching fluctuation play into the team’s poor record over the past six years?
Asomugha: A huge part. It plays a huge part. We can leave football and go to any company in the world. When your head person, the head guy in charge, is leaving every single year, that’s tough for the employees, it’s tough for the focus of the company to move in the right direction, and that’s been one of the problems with us. One of the things that has hurt us has been the coaching changes throughout the year, so it’s great to have Cable back, maybe that will help us a lot more.
Q: Does Al Davis text you up in the offseason, what’s it like working for him?
Asomugha: I don’ even know if he’s even into Twitter and all that stuff. It’s great working for him. First of all, he doesn’t come out all the time. People always want to know if he’s always at practice. He’ll come out every now and then, maybe once a week, just to see how the team is playing, or see how the team is preparing, but Al is a guy who wants to win, and I think that’s what gets guys going. You’re looking for a guy who wants to win so badly, and he’ll go whatever lengths he has to get that job done.
