Roethlisberger cancels press conference

NFL_roethlisberger6.jpgBen Roethlisberger’s new reality, no matter how the civil suit against him goes, will be changed dramatically for the near future.

Because of that, now is not exactly the best time for Roethlisberger to discuss participating in a frivolous reality show competition.

A previously scheduled press conference scheduled for Thursday including Roethlisberger has been cancelled, according to Ed Bouchette of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette.

The presser was set to discuss a reality show called “Shaq vs.” starring Shaquille O’Neal.  (Shaq takes on elite stars in their own sports.)

There is no word on whether the taping of the show will go off as planned near Pittsburgh or whether Roethlisberger will still be involved.

So Shaq is going to break the TV in his hotel room and then get a female employee to “take a quick look”? Doesn’t really sound like a family friendly ABC type of show.
Rapistberger had better be suspended for this.

The last thing he should be doing is changing his habbits/ rescheduling commitments, it makes him look guilty.

    Shaq…
Don’t take your eye off him for a second. In honor of your new career move, he might give you a Cleveland Steamer

Has ESPN given you a reason yet for why they are not acknowledging this story? Deadspin says that a source said ESPN does not report on civil cases involving athletes. That is complete non-sense. They were like flies on *hit last offseason with Marvin Harrison and the civil case against him. Is this really a race issue???

Didn’t guys in the league learn anything from the Vick years? You gotta use a nickname…

What would he be suspended for exactly? There aren’t any criminal charges. Do you think Goodell should suspend players based on civil law suits?
If that’s the case, Joe Cowboy Fan should file a civil suit against Eli Manning. Goodell would have to suspend him.

excellent timing on her part if she wanted to trash Ben in the most public way possible…
I wonder if Ben rejected any attempts at settling out of court?

Are you saying that Roethlisberger pulled out?

If Rothlishomo can’t do it, I hear James Harrison is available. He just beats his girlfriends as opposed to, you know, rape them.

Clearly Ben should have brought PacMan along on this trip. That’d have been the equivalent of setting a back-fire – no matter what Ben set off, the media would be burned out chasing PacMan from strip club to strip club.

What a crock of…. S**t..I’m not even a Steelers fan and it’s obvious this bimbo is out for money. This incident apparently occurred last summer….so why now come out with a law suit…righhhhtttt!

  16. blackglass says: Jul 21, 2009 5:40 PM

James Harrison only beats women who are pregnant, thank you very much.

  17. fab says: Jul 21, 2009 5:41 PM

hey Ravens fan! Or, he could just Kill them like somone else? Rape, beat, or kill?

  18. TSE says: Jul 21, 2009 6:08 PM

Part of me hopes that he gets busted and proven guilty and thrown in jail. It would make me feel better after he got so much glory from stealing a SuperBowl from the rightful winner….TWICE!
The Steelers deserved to have a negative thing like this taint their franchise to balance out fairness for what they have been given that they couldn’t earn for themselves.

If Michael Jackson and Kobe were both treated guilty then Ben doesnt deserve any less treatment.
Wait Ben is white. Sorry, nothing else to see here.

The only thing Ben is guilty of is beastality! 23 months in a federal max prison!!!

  21. GRpatriot says: Jul 21, 2009 6:53 PM

    Hopefully the truth comes out.
The whole story seems questionable on the surface. It will be interesting to see how Goodell handles this one?

  22. grasking says: Jul 21, 2009 7:02 PM

You can get prison time for a civil suit? Really? When did this happen?

  23. Swiftraven says: Jul 21, 2009 8:38 PM

And the whiners like TSE use this as another excuse to bitch about the sand in their vag over the steelers winning these last 2 super bowls.
    Get over it already.
The problem with things like this usually turn out to be he said/she said so we will probably never know what really happened.
