Seattle Seahawks third-round wide receiver Deon Butler has signed a four-year contract that includes a $680,750 signing bonus, according to a league source.
The maximum value of the deal, including a fourth-year escalator clause, is $3.173 million.
The former Penn State standout caught 179 career passes for 2,771 yards and 22 touchdowns, averaging 15.5 yards per reception. Butler owns the Nittany Lions' record for all-time career receptions.
Last season, Butler caught 47 passes for 810 yards and seven touchdowns and was named second-team All-Big Ten Conference.
The 5'10," 182-pounder has run the 40-yard dash in 4.38 seconds.
