Chargers get two more picks to sign

The Chargers announced Saturday that four of their draft picks have recently agreed to terms.

PFT already gave you the details about Louis Vasquez and Vaughn Martin, but the team also announced that running back Gartrell Johnson and offensive linemen Tyronne Green are in the fold. Johnson and Green are both fourth-round picks and received four-year contracts.

Johnson will add depth to a backfield that could be in transition next season.

LaDainian Tomlinson and Darren Sproles both are essentially year-to-year propositions in San Diego. Johnson reportedly “impressed coaches with his downhill running style” during the offseason and will compete to be third on the depth chart.

Green can play both center and guard. Like Vasquez, he’s not expected to start right away.

Rookies will be on the field in San Diego Monday for their first practice. Three Chargers draft picks remain unsigned.
