The Cardinals agreed to terms with their second round pick Tuesday, linebacker Cody Brown.
UPDATE: Brown received a four-year deal with a maximum value of $3.067 million. That includes a $956,000 signing bonus, Andy Simms and Nate Haber of PlayersRep told PFT’s Aaron Wilson.
The 63rd selection of the NFL Draft, Brown comes from the burgeoning football factory at Connecticut. (Okay, maybe a pool house, not a factory. But four players drafted this year!)
Brown is converting from defensive end to outside linebacker, so he won’t be counted on for a huge role right away.
The Cardinals hope Brown can eventually help their pass rush, which lacks obvious playmakers on the outside.
The team released undrafted free agent Tony Davis to make room for Brown. They now have their rookie class under contract except first-round pick Beanie Wells.
Michael Vick will be a Raider. You heard it here first.
Wow, You know ESPN guys have been saying that for months since the Raiders is were all the outcasts go. Why not make a prediction out on a limb like Vick will be a Titan, Viking, Seahawk or Ram.
Played against Cody a couple times, the guy was a cross town rival of my highschool in South Florida. Wish him the best though.
