You might be onto something, old boy. I’m telling you guys, something’s amiss and maybe it is planned to be that way.
Maybe – just maybe – Childress doesn’t care if Favre attends camp, but he also is hamstrung by the whining fans and 52 other players. So, Favre and Chilly strike a deal and when the offense struggles in pre-season, guess who’s suddenly available to hop aboard???
I can understand Brett not wanting to be in camp – one can imagine having to put up with guys in there 20′s and all that rigamaroll – what a pain that would be to an old guy.
Anyway, Favre proved last season that he’s a quick study and while working with the offense in training camp is probably a better idea, it isn’t a requirement.
One for the Gipper, #4!!!

I’m pretty sure Brett doesn’t know what hell he’s going to do 15 minutes from now let alone a 16 week NFL season. And I do know that this is not the end of the Favre speculation (if you think that then this is the first time you’ve read a Favre article in 10 years).
I do know one thing, and that thing is that I have throw up in my mouth because for the 8th time in less than 3 years I’ve had “Favre’s Greatest Moments” “A Tribute to Brett Favre” “Brett Favre: The Timeline of Greatness” and such shoved down my throat. Seriously, go to any sports website or (eeeek) SportsCenter and you’ll know what I’m talking about. He retired from the Jets in March (and they ran all the same stories, highlights, etc). Did he come back or did I miss something? All he did was say “I’m staying retired” and E!SPN and every other sports media outlet runs Tributes to the guy. Insanely pathetic! You just did this to us for the 8th time in 3 years and the 2nd time in less than 5 months and I’m pretty sure his status (retired/unretired, re-unretired, re-re-retired, re-un-re-re-un-retir ed) has not changed. But, please, by all means, any time the guys hints at coming out of retirement or re-unretires, Please, please for the love of God, make sure you do not forget to run tribute after to tribute to the man.

Game winning FG’s??? The Packers have beat the Vikings 5 out of the last 6 times. Longwell made one game winning field goal. He still sucked on kickoffs with the average kick being received at the 15 yd line and his last season was atrocious. I wouldn’t have overpaid for him either as a free agent. He had only 3 TB’s and he converted only 74% of his FG attempts. Meanwhile his replacement led the league in scoring and had 14 TB’s the following year as a rookie.

This is great. I live in Minneapolis and the entire state is in an uproar over the news. They’re practically mourning him even though he never stepped foot in Winter Park. One of the media people went as far as to say that it was a big joke by Childress who is just trying to show his lighter side. WTF????? Wishful thinking!
The good news is that Favre has distracted the Vikings all offseason, even up until the eve of training camp. All of their players threw the other QB’s under the bus by putting the full court press on Favre via text messages and now they have to do damage control. Not to mention the fact that every question T-Joke and Rosenfelds answered the past four months was about Favre.
With Favre still working out and throwing, T-Joke and Sage will be looking over their shoulder at a guy who isn’t even on the team. Yeah, this is going to end well!!

Yes!!!! I love it, he is just trying to buy more time untill the second week of training camp so he can come in without having to work for the whole month!! Its Brett Favre at his finest. The guy is insane. When he retires (whenever that will be), I want him to become a movie writer because he can create drama better than anyone in Hollywood.
And BiQueens? WOW i never heard that but will use it every time i see my boy who is a fan of the vikings.
