Ravens open camp with nine player on PUP list

To cap the 2008 season, the Baltimore Ravens made it all the way to the AFC title game.

They’ll start the climb back with nine players on the Physically Unable to Perform list.

The guys who won’t be able to practice until they emerge from the PUP list are receiver Yamon Figurs, guard Ben Grubbs, running back Willis McGahee, cornerback Samari Rolle, tackle Adam Terry, guard Marshal Yanda, linebacker Jason Phillips, defensive tackle Lamar Divens, and tight end Davon Drew.

The Ravens also signed receiver Jayson Foster, and they waived receiver Isaiah Williams.

No roster moves have been made regarding receiver Derrick Mason, who has informed the team that he plans to retire, but who has not officially filed retirement paperwork.

  1. @tomdog – in the last 3 years, we have played the squealers 7 times. They have won 4 times (3 of which were last year) We have won 3 times (two of which were 3 years ago when we skunked them by over 20 points per game.) If you add up the total score of all seven games we have outscored the Squealers easily. Granted everyone will remember last year when we lost 3 games by close scores aided by the zebras and I will not dispute those loses. But the facts are the facts. Bottom line is that in the last 3 years the SB champs have a one game lead upon the Ravens. Basically, I’m telling you to take a long walk off a short pier.

  2. You are correct ppdoc13 in that the facts are the facts. The STEELERS have 6 superbowl rings, the Baltimorons have 9 guys on the pup.
