Bengals agree to terms with Michael Johnson

The Cincinnati Bengals have agreed to terms on a four-year contract with third-round defensive end Michael Johnson, according to a league source.

Per the source, the deal includes an $863,020 signing bonus.

The total maximum value of the deal is $3.47 million, if a fourth-year escalator clause is triggered. (It’s a two-level escalator based on his playing time.)

The 6'7", 266-pounder registered 19 career sacks, 30.5 tackles for losses, 10 forced fumbles and three blocked kicks at Georgia Tech.

As a senior, Johnson lined up opposite University of Virginia offensive tackle Eugene Monroe and recorded a sack and two tackles for losses against the Jacksonville Jaguars’ first-round draft pick.
