Bills, Wood finally do a deal

Finally, the Buffalo Bills and center Eric Wood have agreed to terms on a contract, making Wood the fifth first-round pick to ink a deal.

A league source tells us that the deal was done this afternoon.

Wood was the 28th overall selection in the draft.  He was obtained via the first-round pick that Buffalo picked up from Philly in the Jason Peters trade.

And so as one reader pointed out, the Bills might soon have a first-team offensive line that features players named "Wood" and "Levitre."

Just sayin'.

The Bills, who opened camp four days ago, still need to sign second-round cornerback Jairus Byrd and first-round defensive end Aaron Maybin.

Should be one of the stiffest offensive lines in the NFL.

You're a little late on the Wood and Levitre jokes, but credit for coming up with it on your own, even if everyone else already did.

I'm surprised you didn't manage to put "Bills finally get Wood" as your headline.

If it last longer than 4 hrs consult a doctor...or hook up with Pacman and hit up the strip club.

The Bills may have to consult a doctor if games last longer than 4 hours.

Is it just me, or does Eric Wood look exactly like Thurman Murman from Bad Santa?

I heard the Byrd deal was very close, but now the report is that he got a sports hernia from working out.

Maybin won't be a starter this year, so I don't think they're even worrying about his deal until they get their other picks locked up.

They say Mr. Wilson still has the final say in the war room....he just thought he was at the pharmacy.

They also signed Byrd, who is a safety not a corner, and placed him on the PUP list already lol.

Will Dick be able to score with help from Levitre and also recently acquired Wood?
