Childress: "Not a chance" Favre talks will resume

NFL_childress1.jpgMaybe Brad Childress hears the whispers already starting that Favrewatch 2009 is not ending, just slowing down.

NFL Network’s Jason LaCanfora seconds a PFT report that there are members inside the Vikings organization who believe Chilly would embrace Favre again under the right circumstances.

Upon arrival at training camp Wednesday, Childress did his best to squash the Favre talk.

“There is not a chance from my standpoint,” Childress told Judd Zulgad, who first had the news of Favre staying retired Tuesday.

Childress said he “owed it” to the organization to go after Favre, and he spoke to Tarvaris Jackson and Sage Rosenfels Wednesday morning and that he’s “more than content” to roll with them going into the season.

We’ll see if the Vikings organization stays “more than content” with Childress if he can’t deliver a playoff win this year.

jdblya, hopefully if Favre does show up again in Minnesota, Childress tells Favre that he’ll get back to Favre and then wait a couple of months and set a couple fake deadlines, before ultimately telling Favre to go to hell.

Year right Childo! You whored yourself out to Favre for the past 4 months and then got the Heisman. You did everything INCLUDING beg. The rest of the world aren’t idiots!
Sage is an herb….Childo is a dope!

Let’s see, the Williams wall gets suspended for the first four games, T Joke lives up to his name and Sage proves there is a reason he has been a back up for 7 years and the Vikings end up with a poor Sept and beginning of Oct. Now Childress realizes that he duped the Vikings into hiring him and there is not another franchise dumb enough to make that mistake a second time so what do you think he is going to do? You guess it, pull his pants all the way down and grab his ankles and feel the same pain as the Viking fans do every year. Except he gets a paycheck to watch that train wreck every week while the Viking fan turns over part of his paycheck to do the same.
    Big difference.

    What the ****?
    Are you kidding me?
Childress has got to grow a set! The best he can do is “There is not a chance from my standpoint” and “more than content”?? You have got to be kidding me! That is about as non-committal as he could be. This is far from over.
I’m a Viking fan… and I’ll admit it… I wanted Favre to play… but this HAS GOT TO END!
I am ready to become a full fledged Browns fan. I’ll be in the Dawg Pound week one rooting AGAINST the Vikings without my AP jersey.

Yeah, right. Let’s see what happens if the Queens start out 1-3.
Hell, let them lose week 2 at Detroit and let’s see the fur fly.
