Brett should have stayed with the Jets. They treated him well. It is no good to try and get revenge at GB. He should go forward and forget the past. He is no getting younger so he should have signed with the Vikings and called it a day. Their QB is injured right now so I believe they should give Vick a chance to play again. He paid fo his crime so be it. I am sure he is well cured and is going to work for the humane society. Teams have to move forward.
This is my first comment tonight. I thought we could comment whenever we want.

I would think you need a certain level of self respect and dignity to be successful in any job, much less a head coach in the NFL.
Clearly Childress is lacking in both to allow both his reputation (which was shaky to begin with) and his team (which is about to find out the true long term consequences of their head coach giving a no confidence sign to their signed QB’s) to be subjected to Favre’s diva act.
The Biqueen fan base has become famous for their annual Superbowl predictions will no longer have to wait till the end of the season for their annual realization that another year down the shitter. They can feel the disappointment and we haven’t even opened camp yet.

Agreed. I would have to agree with the author that it is Minny’s fault that this happened to them, not Brett.
I have to say I am a little disappointed that there will be no Favre vs. GB this year, I was looking forward to it. Add that to the fact that it seems Mike “Sit Ubu Sit” Vick might not find a home this summer and that’s two story lines out the window. We still have a few good ones, but the two most polarizing ones are pretty much gone.

I’m close to becoming a Vikings fan this year, if only to see them succeed WITHOUT “their savior who snabbed them.”
Wouldn’t it be just perfect to see AP and Sage/Travaris carry the Vikes to the Super Bowl and have everyone be able to say they didn’t need Farve, and wonder out loud if they would have made it WITH him.

all favre said yesterday was he didnt want to play a good 3/4 of a season(12 games) than bad the rest of the way. so after vikings fans are sick of rosenfels interceptions and jackson again by week 6 or so brett can play right through the post season his 3/4 of a season.
plus- the agent said brett will still be practicing at the high school keeping his “retired” arm in shape.

How many people here would turn down millions of dollars and another potential Super Bowl run- a senario that Favre might face if the Vikings QBs are playing poorly, but they are in playoff contention? Its his life and get off his back.
