Brett should have stayed with the Jets. They treated him well. It is no good to try and get revenge at GB. He should go forward and forget the past. He is no getting younger so he should have signed with the Vikings and called it a day. Their QB is injured right now so I believe they should give Vick a chance to play again. He paid fo his crime so be it. I am sure he is well cured and is going to work for the humane society. Teams have to move forward.
This is my first comment tonight. I thought we could comment whenever we want.

You're such an idiot. I'm not crawling up Favre's ass. I hate him just as much as the next guy. Not for leaving the Packers, but for acting like THEY DID IT TO HIM. For acting like Thompson ran him out of town. He's an ass-clown.
But what I hate more is idiots like you, constantly posting the exact same garbage. Be creative. Use your head. The other guys railing on you were complaining about the same shit. "Fart/Favre, Fart/Favre, Fart/Favre!" Lay off it.

To me, Brett Favre was one of the most exciting quarterbacks I've seen.
But, I am totally disgusted by his shenanigans these past 2 years.
STOP playing games...
either you are Retired or you are Not retired - stop playing games every year
If you still have "it" in you, then stop retiring
You are becoming a big JOKE

Favre..."Who know's come Nov. 1"
Viking's v. Packers, Lambeau Field
Favre knows that he cannot physically make it to that game and be sharp. He wants to stick it to G.B. management at Lambeau, and he knows his legacy is mud if he does it at Lambeau. He doesn't care, because those fans didn't love him anyway. Said it himself to Peter King last night, and King repeated again tonight to Homer. espn540.com. sure Florio has it somewhere here.
Great team player. At least we know our starting QB is showing up this year.

While I'd love to see Favre wearing purple this year, if isn't willing to show up to the start of camp, we should just roll with Sage Rosenfels and go to the Super Bowl without him.
Old Brett Favre = Current Sage Rosenfels > John David Booty > EndZone Pilon > Tavaris Jackson > Pile of Wet Dog Poo > Mike Vick
-------------------
ZNorseman, you must still be smoking something a lot stronger than Sage if you believe what you're spewing. The only thing Sage is good at is helicopter fumbles and INT's.
Sage is an herb and Childress is a dope. Therefore, you must smoking Childress!!!!

I would think you need a certain level of self respect and dignity to be successful in any job, much less a head coach in the NFL.
Clearly Childress is lacking in both to allow both his reputation (which was shaky to begin with) and his team (which is about to find out the true long term consequences of their head coach giving a no confidence sign to their signed QB's) to be subjected to Favre's diva act.
The Biqueen fan base has become famous for their annual Superbowl predictions will no longer have to wait till the end of the season for their annual realization that another year down the shitter. They can feel the disappointment and we haven't even opened camp yet.

Bob Nelson says: July 29, 2009 1:16 PM
Only the vikings can get slapped around like this.
Why doesn't PFT acknowledge a pretty good article by Mike Vandermause in the Green Bay Gazette on the vikings getting slapped.
It is a great read.
======================================
Agreed. I would have to agree with the author that it is Minny's fault that this happened to them, not Brett.
I have to say I am a little disappointed that there will be no Favre vs. GB this year, I was looking forward to it. Add that to the fact that it seems Mike "Sit Ubu Sit" Vick might not find a home this summer and that's two story lines out the window. We still have a few good ones, but the two most polarizing ones are pretty much gone.

Why doesn’t PFT acknowledge a pretty good article by Mike Vandermause in the Green Bay Gazette on the vikings getting slapped.
It is a great read.
How many people here would turn down millions of dollars and another potential Super Bowl run- a senario that Favre might face if the Vikings QBs are playing poorly, but they are in playoff contention? Its his life and get off his back.

Come on, the ideal scenario is Rodgers goes down in week 8, his two second year backups suck (which they will), and Lord Favre rides in to the rescue.

Yeah, it's always an ideal scenario when your starting QB goes down to injury.
