Clearly, the Vikings are one of the few teams in the NFL with low enough standards to accept a sociopath like Vick. They already have a left tackle that commits felony assult and eats hookers on the side. They have a rich history of criminal activity and a coach who can’t evaluate QB’s worth a lick. They have WR’s who can’t get open so it matters little which QB is under or over throwing them. And PETA can lay claim to unsold tickets even though the truth is the average Viking fan wouldn’t buy them before they signed Vick.
Sounds like a perfect fit.

Obviously Cannon doesn’t pay much attention to what the Vikings have for personnel.
They don’t need a below average passing QB who can scramble. I am perfectly content calling him a below average passing QB because that is exactly what they are. They already have a running game with AP.
If they were to play Vick, then the defense could put the entire defense in the box instead of the usual 8 – 10 that Petersen goes up against already.
I will be happy the day Chilly-ball leaves town. The Vikings weakest link is the coaching staff.

bitchplease-
come on man. i know your just dreaming out loud, but there are more than 4 players on a defense. as easily as this offensive play was dreamt up, a defensive formation to stop it could be invented.
plus, even if this complicated gimmick play worked a time or two, gimmick plays only get you so far. like to the first round of the playoffs. then when your QB actually has to play quarterback and not some form of i’ll-run-right-you-run-left-back, things go downhill fast. just ask chad pennington.
not to mention how much MORE division this would cause in the locker room. you think tjacks fragile minded ass is uncertain about the confidence in him now?! what happens when vick goes down, or when he fumbles the ball. over. and over. and over again?
the vikings need to bite the bullet. get sage up to speed as quick as Fn possible, and hope that he can beat out tjack for the starting spot.
the worst thing that could happen to the vikes this year is for tjack to be the starting QB week one, or any other week for that matter.

One by one the contenders are led from the trailers while others look on in admiration, some among them wishing that they too were dogmen. Others size up the contenders, determining the amount they will place in bets.
Bookmakers, quickly jotting odds on small chalkboards, start collecting money as enthusiastic bettors yell, “Two thousand on Imperator,” or “Put me down for five hundred bucks on Lucky Lady.”
Victory or death is the nature of the sport of dogfighting, each dogman, thousands invested in the breeding, training and care of his fighter, petting and giving his beloved champion animal encouragement before they are placed in the pit. A referee is in the pit before the fight; his job is to start the contest by placing the dogs within fighting distance of each other, once the fight starts, the referee exits the pit and joins in the amusement.

Lol. Mr. Florio is right, the Vikes should sign Mike Vick. He’s better than what they have and this is a make a break season not just for Chilly but for NFL football in Minnesota. The Vikings need to create a positive buzz (yes signing a convicted fellon, dog fighter, would be positive buzz) in order to get funding for a new stadium. The Vikings lease at the Metrodome ends in 2011 and if a new stadium isn’t supported by fan’s and Minnesotan’s and thusly the state legislture the Vikings won’t be in Minnesota past 2011. Wilf is a good owner and has done everything he can in order to make the Viking’s Superbowl contender’s. The bottom line is that if the Vikings are to stay in Minnesota they need the people of Minnesota to be willing to ante up some tax dollars for a new stadium. Wilf wants to keep the team in Minnesota and has offered to spend $250 million on a new stadium. Wilf knows that for that to happen he must field a SUPER BOWL CHAMPION. If Chilly and the Viking’s brass feels Mike Vick can help this team reach that goal than he will be wearing purple this year.
