Lions, Pettigrew strike a deal

The Lions got their first first-round pick under contract before they even picked the first pick in the first round.

They now have their second first-rounder under contract.

Tight end Brandon Pettigrew has agreed to terms on a five-year deal, per the Detroit Free Press.

Pettigrew, the 20th pick in round one, was selected with one of the choices that came from Dallas in the trade for wideout Roy Williams.

The Lions have all their draft picks under contract.

Odds are he could have showed up on the day of the first regular season game……And he would do better than Roy Williams 19 catch for a buck ninety five joke……What a steal…….

The Lions draft class is all signed up and ready to go. Hope Pettigrew blocks as well as he did in college, as that is what I’m really looking for in him. I know he’ll get his fair share of looks, but I want to see an impact in halfing our sack totals, and I believe he can be a part of that.

eskin, I laugh at your ignorance, and jealousy that your team didn’t select the best TE in the draft.

Your idea of praise is saying he would have shown up a month late. then you compared him to roy williams, thats not praise, then you call him a prick, all with long pauses in between.

Do we still have enough money left to pay Matt Millen the remainder of his hard-earned contract?
