It looks like Brandon Marshall isn’t going to suffer from one of those mysterious training camp injuries that often sideline disgruntled players.
Marshall returned to the field for a full practice Friday, his first since undergoing hip surgery on March 31.
Multiple Denver outlets commented that Marshall showed no rust and didn’t limp after missing most of the offseason following hip surgery.
Josh McDaniels was asked if he was surprised how good Marshall looked.
“Excited about it; I wouldn’t say
pleasantly surprised,” McDaniels said. “I know he’s a good football
player. I’m excited about watching him fit into our system and making
plays.”
The contract year receiver didn’t speak to reporters and its believed he still wants to be traded.
It seems unlikely Marshall will get traded, but his only chance for it
would be to show suitors that he’s fully healthy during the preseason.
And if he stays in Denver, the only way to increase his market value is to put up big numbers, just like he has the last two seasons.
Only IMO ….. Marshall won’t be all that and a bag of chips without Cutler. Housh the douche won’t either with Hasselbeck instead of Palmer throwing to him. Ocho Stinko would not fair very well without Palmer throwing to him. Coles on the other hand will have a Pro Bowl year with Palmer throwing to him.
Also… Bears receivers will suddenly look pretty good. QB is the most important position on the team. You can shake a tree and get good receivers.
too bad he is an abuser!
Dude, your killing me. This site use to be about team/player development relative to camp/team activities. This story obviously is but most stories now are just about Farve, Vick, camp holdouts (ending or not). Before you went NBC this site use to have more of a insider-information-feel. Now it’s just gossip girl gone butch. Created a user profile specifically to provide this feedback. I hope things revert back once camps pick-up.
Hmmmm………anyone think they’re just trying to get maximum value in a trade?
If any Bronco management reads this they should offer Marshall a new Deal. 4 years. Minimum Salaries each year. Then The Bonus Money. 1 million each year at the end of the year if he hasn’t been arrested.
1 million if he misses no games do to weird injuries suffered at home. 1 million if he leads the league in catches. 100,000 dollars per touchdown. 100,000 dollars per 10 catches. And a 1 million dollar workout bonus per year. If he’s as good as he thinks he is, if he keeps out of trouble he can make 6-8 million per year. Then he can look for a regular deal, when he proves he can be a good citizen.
Very astute proposal from the gentleman above. Just about all contracts should be scheduled in the same way…especially rookie contracts.
Marshall’s always been too much of a knucklehead for me and I called for his trade before he did. But I’m very excited abouth his being healthy and motivated.
Spread-O, Knowshon, Marshall and Thin Air.
Ever since the Cutler trade I’ve put the over/under on wins @ 5.5…I wouldn’t be surprised if they won 9 including the 4 ugliest games of the year.
