So much for the Vick-to-Pats rumors

Though the door can’t be closed on the possibility that the Patriots will pursue quarterback Mike Vick (primarily because New England coach Bill Belichick didn’t close the door today when he had a chance to do so), those rumors of Vick being in Foxborough today can be disregarded as just that — rumors.

Vick, per the Associated Press, was in federal bankruptcy court again today in Virginia, where creditors are poised to vote on his plan to repay some of the money that he owes them.

Here’s the money quote from Larry O’Dell of the AP:  “Vick declined to answer reporters’ questions before and after a hearing Friday on his Chapter 11 bankruptcy plan.”

So there you have it.  Vick wasn’t in New England today.  He might go tomorrow or the next day, but he wasn’t there today.

In other “news” Mike Vick also picked a booger today and Brett Favre farted…. I can’t wait until someone gets caught with a pound of blow or shoots themself/someone else so that the NFL will interest me again.

I know it isnt mentioned in this posting but was mentioned in others that the Patriots wouldnt puruse Mr. Vick because a negative publicity from animal rights organizations. I find this very hard to believe considering the Kraft’s built Patriot Place and allowed a company, Bass Pro Shop, to occupy one of its location. If you are familiar with Bass Pro Shop, then you are fully aware that its business is centered on selling products that could argubably be geared toward the unethical treatment of animals.

maybe he was there LAST NIGHT, and flew back from boston this morning for his hearing???
    hmmmm…. just sayin’..
Kick returns is what the Vick deal would be all about, that and a capable backup, amongst other options.
    Love the idea….

He just landed in Mn with Farve. Bret said he would coach him if he could stay in Mississippi and ponder weather or not he’ll take over midway thru the season.

All of this is wonderful, but seriously can’t we get back to what’s really important? – What was Brett Favre doing today?

So when Vick signs but fails his physical, will the team place him on the “PUP” list or will PETA object to the association?

It was actually Marvin Harrisson that was in NE today. I heard someone saw him and thought he was Vick.

I know Vick was in Newport News Virginia today, because I saw it on our local news at noon. Even posted it here, and for some odd reason my post was censored out by “The man”.
