In a new PFTV segment that we’ll soon be loading into the official, kick-ass NBC video player, Mr. Brocato and yours truly address the question of what the Vikings will do in the wake of Lord Favre’s decision to leave them standing at the altar, in their best purple tuxes with ruffled yellow shirts and white patent-leather shoes.
During the segment, I mentioned that the ensuing pressure on whomever gets the starting quarterback job will persist unless and until one of the two primary candidates gets injured.
And it’s already happened.
Tarvaris Jackson, per multiple media reports, left practice today with a leg injury. Per the Minneapolis Star Tribune, defensive lineman LeTroy Guion rolled over Jackson’s leg, prompting him to crumble to the ground.
Jackson later walked off the field under his own power, and there’s no word on Jackson’s status.
Favre to the Vikings in 5, 4, 3, 2, …
WOW
No matter what you think of the kid and his potential (or lack thereof), you can’t deny that he’s fragile. He’s been hurt every year in the league.
its all BS how they say the way to win games and go deep in the playoffs is to stop the run and be able to run
Vikings D:#1 against the run for the past 3 years
Adrian Peterson:led teh NFL in rushing
At most the last 3/4 of the year is all Favre wants to play and will.
Want Derek Anderson?
And here we go again
TJ is fragile and didn’t have the makings of an NFL QB when he was on the field. The Vikes need to bring in Vick to compete with Rosenfals or you’re in for a long season. An option is a trade with the Jets to get Clemens.
I am ready, willing, and able to offer my services to the Vikings immediately.
Sincerely,
Jeff George
meow!
As a Patriots and a Tom Brady fan, let me just say this is not a good thing.
And it means nothing if they leave the field walking on their own.
Michael Vick anyone?
I Didnt go out today, but we looked on yesterday and surprisingly Tarvaris was blowing Rosenfels out of the water. He was looking good last year aswell though, But I really believed this year he would atleast get the chance to make it or brake it. I thought he had a good chance of coming into his own and having a good year.
When he came in last year for ferrotte, after being benched early in the season he actually looked really good up until the horrible game he had with the eagles. But earlier he was managing games decently and making the key throws he needed to, and actually making some incredible throws.
But now… come on you know this is gonna get Brett interested, hes licking his lips. You could tell he was interested just by his interview he had later on, where he was practically saying he believed he could of just made a huge mistake. Now hes gonna think its like his destiny, I can actually see Sage starting the season if the injury is bad. Than Brett try to come back when preseason starts and end up signing early into the season and replace Sage
Well it’s a good thing that both Zygi and Childo have already confirmed that the door is shut on Brett Favre after he left him at the altar with his dick in his hand….
shake it off Tjack!!
Calm down…our savior is fine!
Just rub some dirt on it and get back to practice.
I think Ziggy Wilf is one of the best owners in the league and deserves political backing on a public/private stadium. Honestly.
And I know he shut the door on Farve, but if this is a Tom Brady type injury, and with all due respect to Mr Wilf, the sound of a cash register opening and closing will go off in his head of the idea of Farve joining the team because of this injury.
Maybe Michael Vick…ahem, I mean Cleo Lemon, will be in for a tryout.
Or throw another million on top of the Favre contract.
Let the Mike Vick talk commence
Vick to the Vikes? I am sure they will bring in Andrew Walter to atleast get a loot at him. If I remember correctly, the Vikes had an ok o-line.
thare is ANDREW WALTER who is looking for work after my RAIDERS cut him
Paging Mr. Vick, Mr Michael Vick. Please pick up the purple courtesy phone found in the lobby…
“At most the last 3/4 of the year is all Favre wants to play and will.”

Unfortunately that is when Favre is at his worst. In the final 3 games of seasons 05-08 he’s thrown 8 TD’s to 24 INT’s.
Finally Sage will get a real opportunity. Dudes been good when he gets in the game. As a Dolphins fan I remember him comming in and doing FAARRRRR better than Feely or Fiedler ever did, and they let him walk. Then he goes to the Texans plays great, and they get rid of him, even when Schaubb isn’t any good and gets hurt every time he farts. (and he eats a lot of beans). Now he’s on the Vikes and they just ignore him….
You’re a jackass…
GB sucked in 05 and ’06 because of tha a-hole, Ted Thompson (Mr. 31-33), and they will suck this year! hahaha.
Tavaris sucks and so does Rosenfels. If Favre signs with the Vikings, they will go all the way.
Get off the guys nuts, already will you? He was hurt last year and still went 9-7 with the sh*tty Jets!
He went 14-3 the year before with a mediocre Packer team.
Face it, the guys a winner, and Minnesota would be lucky to have him.

Otherwise make a huge deal with Cleveland For either Brady or Anderson. Giving up Chester Taylor, and sage for Brady. Or Taylor straight up.
————————-
Are you F’ing kidding me????? Chester Taylor straight up for one of the Cleveland QB’s??? Taylor is 30 years old and is a career backup. Cleveland would never trade a starting QB for a 30 year old backup running back.
Taylor can easily be a #1 RB and its obvious look at what he has done splitting carries, dude ran for 1200 yards his first season in minnesota and derek anderson isnt a great qb hes a 1 year wonder, who wont get the start at the beginning of the season making him a back up. They have to pull the switch and let brady play eventually he isnt getting any younger and cleveland isnt getting any better anytime soon.
“He went 14-3 the year before with a mediocre Packer team. ”

That must be why Favre said the 07 squad “was as good a Packers team as I’ve ever been a part of” huh? That “a-hole” Ted Thompson built that team. It’s why he won NFL executive of the Year in 07. Favre is the most over-rated player in NFL history. 5-7 in the playoffs since his only Super Victory a hundred years ago.
Mike Vick??…..
@start tavaris…….thought jared allen was the savior…wait……..randy moss……..wait….donte culpepper……..lol…….another year…….another vikings SAVIOR failing to deliver……maybe the williams sisters have some roids…errrr…..i mean diuretics……errr…. i mean healthy diet shakes they could give him………
