Actually, it was a full team choke. Something Dallas excels at in crucial games. But I’ll pile on Crayton since he was the only one running his mouth. Romo blew it too, but at least he has the class to own up to it, face the press, and accept responsibility. I will give him that. It’s funny that you chose the word scrub. I would say that word fits Crayton status perfectly.

#2 WR spot?? This doesn’t really specify preferred X,Y,Z, slotback, etc…
Regardless, stats favor who’s gotten the most opportunities (ie balls thrown his way), and Crayton got less than TO and Witten… significantly less. He dropped 5 of 68 thrown his way, had a sub-60% catch rate, 4 TDs, had a fumble, no INTs off him, and broke 3 tackles all year.
Decent, but not spectacular.

For all the so called football guru’s, has anyone looked at Dallas backfield? Or how about the TE position? Oh ya one more thing, how about DWARE and the rest of their D-LINE, ya they are gonna suck. They lost TO, who cares the problem is gone for them. Now they can focus on the rest of their Offence and not a crybaby.

Great. Now PFT mutants are going to say that Crayton can’t catch. Out of 70 pass attempts to him, he dropped three. That’s a drop percentage of 4.29%. Would you like to see how that compares to certain other NFL WR’s? Stats Inc’s numbers and this is by no means a complete list.

If that’s the most creative thing you can say, you’re pretty hurting. Romo has done better than 80% 0f QBs in December, it was the defense that let Dallas down in Dec, not Romo. Stop shooting from the hip and accepting whatever the media says as gospel, do a little research before you pontificate.

Yep, Crayton earned the gig in 2007. Two-thousand-seven!
I could be wrong but I don’t recall a single legitimate news story or interview where any Cowboys coach ever said Miles Austin (or anyone else) was competing for what has been and still is Crayton’s job.
This is a tabloid story created by a bored media during the offseason. Waste of cyberspace.
