No market for Pacman

On a couple of occasions over the past couple of months, rumors have surfaced that the Cowboys might re-sign cornerback Pacman Jones.

To date, it hasn’t happened.

As one league source explained it, Executive Vice President Stephen Jones has been acquiring more juice within the building, as evidenced by the decision to dump Terrell Owens.

So while owner Jerry Jones might be tempted to give Pacman another chance, we’re told that Stephen Jones is squarely against it — and that as a result it most likely won’t be happening.

Andy Reid should be suspended for being a bad dad. He is a bad man. He makes the NFL lose credibility.

You’d have to be an uninformed idiot to ever believe Jerry’s kid calls the shots. Has never happened and will never happen until Jerry is planted in the ground.
This is a fact, not discombobulated “league source” BS.
Pacman is headed to the Toledo Bullfrogs.

Riggggght, because Romo, Witten, Roy Williams, and Marion Barber are all washed up. Oh wait, those are all offense. Newman, Ware, Bradie James, and Watkins, yeah, they all suck too. Give me a break.
The Cowboy’s problem isn’t that they sign washed up players, the problem is that they don’t have a leader in the locker room. It remains to be seen now that ME-O is gone, if one of the guys will step up.

    “No market for Pacman”
REALLY?! Well I, for one, am absolutely SHOCKED! Why in the world would teams around the league not be chomping at the bit for a chance to sign this highly talented player and fine, upstanding citizen?

  21. RexRyan'sStressedLapband says: Aug 4, 2009 5:40 PM

I know this is going to incite some anti-Vick comments, but if I were the UFL, I wouldn’t let this turd in. If this league really wants to establish itself as a legitimate sport, it is really going to need to watch it’s image at such a young age. The NFL’s personal conduct policy may be hard to interpret, and seem a little random at times, but I think most fans are happy to see a commish that wants a higher class of human being filling its ranks. The UFL would be wise to at least attempt to follow suit. The pickings are slim, right now, for this new league, but if they can make some good choices now, I don’t think it is inconceivable that they could at least survive alongside the NFL, if not thrive.
I am all for more football in America.

Might help to not raise your kids in a “drug emporium”, and after they become adults with substance abuse problems, largely because they grew up in a “drug emporium”, you might not want to have them living at the “drug emporium” with you. Of course there’s always the option of getting all the F-ing drugs out of the “drug emporium”, but I guess that never occurred to Andy Reid.

Grulks, the comment was, “When the Cowboys PASS on you, you know you’re washed up.”
The cowboys didn’t pass on any of the players you’ve mentioned. They’re all still on the team. Please learn to read.

  30. JimmySmith says: Aug 4, 2009 6:48 PM

I can’t say what did or did not occur to Andy Ried except for a game plan to get into the playoffs on the final game of the season that resulted a lopsided 44-6 game. Now Vox, what was your point again?

  31. Jackal138 says: Aug 4, 2009 6:54 PM

    Jackhole/December:
I’m well aware of what was written. Clearly both of you lack advanced comprehension.
    Original posting was:
“When the Cowboys pass on you, you know you’re washed up.”
This naturally implies then that Dallas will sign anyone, they’re grasping at straws, that the players they’ve signed suck. See my original reply.
Since, from the way you two got your little girl panties all twisted up, you probably can’t track that logic, I’ll explain it for you. I’ll even try and use small worlds so you can actually understand.
From your statement you’re bashing the players Dallas does sign (by sarcastically implying that they’ll sign anyone, except the very bottom of the barrel). And again, I submit that Dallas doesn’t have a talent problem, based on the short list I provided of quality players (which therefore implies that they actually don’t sign just anyone, they sign people with talent). Dallas has a leadership problem, not a lack of talent problem.
Next time, learn to think before you just blanket insult people.

  34. VoxVeritas says: Aug 4, 2009 7:50 PM

“Now Vox, what was your point again?”
That the normal state of the Packers is as an NFL doormat. But especially a Cowboys doormat.

  35. VoxVeritas says: Aug 4, 2009 8:04 PM

“The cowboys didn’t pass on any of the players you’ve mentioned.”
It was a retarded comment in the first place. The Cowboys passed on Desean Jackson, Asante Samuel, and many other Eagirls players. I suppose the logic dictates that those guys suck. Conversely, the Eagles passed on Witten (in favor of LJ Smith) and Troy Polamalu (in favor of Jerome McDougle) in a single draft. In fact they took Billy McMullen over Asante Samuel in that same draft, too.

CROOKED STEVE!! jeez……a Pacman Jones post now, this is NOT andy reid, please wait until he is brought up to talk junk about him if you dont like him SO much, but back to the point, Adam aka Pacman Jones has no market because first he is a player with all kinds of issues and second last year with the Cowboys, he didnt look good when he played which means no market for you, now if one of those two reasons werent there he would have someone contacting him.

    Pacman was never good…
Fact is Pacman was good, not great, but good. His issue (besides gettin g into fights with his bodyguard) is that he freelances and is what Bill Parcells describes as a ‘Street Player’. Good instincts, but he can’t play in a team concept.
Dallas isn’t resigning him because both Jenkins and Scandrick are having excellent camps and Newman is healthy again for the first time in two years.

Sorry to breeak this to you, but Stephen has taken a very prominent role in the Cowboys in the last 6 months or so. I suspect that Jerry is preparing to hang it up, somehting that will be VERY good for the Cowboys I’m thinking. Stephen is VERY smart and I also suspect his first move as ‘owner’ will be to hire a good GM. Then the rest of the NFL needs to watch out.

Hahahaha! A dude from DC claims knows the inside ops of JerryWorld!
Just like I know Snyder is allowing Zorn to make personnel decisions.
Jerry began as a risk-taking wildcatter. That’s the oil bidness which is not that unlike the sports franchise bidness. The thrill is being the guy who actually executes a risk and adjusts his “game” to try to beat out his competition.
JJ is healthy and as sane as he’s gonna get. He will ride these rails til the wheels fall off. He would get no pleasure from watching his offspring play at managing a franchise he has built, new stadium and all.
IMO, you know nothing of the Jones family. Stephen has always thought he knew more than everybody….. except Daddy. Jerry Jr. knows his place and Stephen will continue to accept his.
