Bush leaves practice with knee injury

If you don’t like the latest report on Reggie Bush’s knee, we suggest waiting half a day for it to change.

Bush was unable to his finish his scheduled one practice a day Wednesday.  He later returned with a slight limp and his knee wrapped in ice.

While the Saints say they aren’t concerned with Bush’s knee, perhaps they should be.  It’s not a great sign when he can’t finish practices consistently.

This is a chronic knee problem, and the team was concerned enough to have  Bush undergo an MRI two days ago, according to WDSU in New Orleans.

Bush said after practice he’s “fine.”

While we don’t want to overstate the importance of minor camp injuries, Bush’s struggles will serve to make the Saints cautious about overworking him.

Pierre Thomas is expected to lead the Saints in carries this season and it may not be close if Bush continues to show he can’t handle a big workload.

  1. What else is new… Houston looks smarter and smarter all the time for taking Super Mario over this ceramic back

  2. OVER-RATED!!!!
I told everyone coming out of college that Bush would not be a good RB in the league…too “pretty” of a runner, never wanting contact and always looking to hit the edge without first pursuing the open hole..(no Kim jokes) haha
You see who the real stud of USC was, Lindale White..Bush sucks, Leinart sucks, Dwayne Jarrett sucks!! Bunch of sun tanning, over hyped, non competition playing SOBS in the PAC-10!
Did I mention I’m an SEC fan??

  3. Andy reid is losing his team, Juqua Parker, Jim Johnson, the cover up of Stewart Bradley. By the way a guy rips his acl in half and the reporters report it. Then Big Red complains, whats the big deal we are gonna find out anyway. Unless that Fat Fukk Reid planned on playing Stewart Bradley with a torn acl all year.

  4. Tweet from Reggie:
“Don’t listen to the false reports that I hurt my knee again. We all good over here….gettin ready for practice this afternoon”

  5. The Texans were smart for not buying into the Reggie Bust hype before the ’06 draft and the Saints did, and just like Reggie they never live up to their expectations. You don’t draft a player that has the words “fragile! handle with care” stamped on their forehead. Oh well glad they took this bum instead the tasmanian devil known as DeAngelo Williams!
Face it Aints fans, you SUCK!

  6. I’ll tell you what Panther Pride…I’d rather miss the playoffs altogether, than get skullfu#$ed like you did against Arizona,(Had to make sure I was typing the correct team!!!!) Yeah thats right Arizona, you prick!

  7. Bush isn’t even the best RB on the roster. Pierre Thomas is a much better all-around RB. Stick a fork in Bush, he’s the Mark Prior of football

  8. Why don’t they just move Bush to being primarily a wide receiver from the slot?
The only game I remember him truly rushing for a bunch of yards was against the Giants, and that happened way back during his rookie season.
He’s a bust, for sure. But it’s not like he doesn’t have value on the football field. It’s just not at the H-back position.

  9. scomibort, hate me all you want but you know i’m right about reggie and the aints. you would rather not make the playoffs than get your ass whooped? wow you must be an aints fan because your so used to not making the playoffs that you’ve forgotten what it’s like. last season was last season, we’ve moved on and we’re ready to whoop ass and that includes our annual sweeping of the aints! yeah that’s right how’s it feel knowing that Jake “5 picks” Delhomme owns your team and there isn’t a think that Drew Brees can do about it? only time the aints every beat the Panthers is when we are injured across the board. there is a reason your team is called the “aints” so have fun missing the playoffs again this year!

  10. The Texan’s continue to look smarter with each Bush injury. Regardless of whether they are winning or losing right now, they have a pro-bowl defensive end for the next 8-10 years. As for Bush, when will people realize these guys are a dime a dozen? He clearly wasn’t capable of being the dominant running back in college. He was a SICK return man, I cannot deny that. However, this is the NFL. Tough running backs that can take a beating and get back up and do it the next day are the guys who last. Sooner or later, NFL GM’s will realize these guys ARE NOT worth a first round pick. I hope Percy Harvin can prove me wrong this year, but already its not looking like that will happen.

  11. Well, I think I have officially quit making fun of Reggie.
This is a chronic injury that seems to be career threatening.
He is not even good enough to make fun of.

    LMAO !!!!!!

  13. Florio had to delegate the story to his stooge to avoid the ‘Florio hates Bush’ bashing.
    I’m onto you…

  14. hey crooked steve, thanks for the update on the life of andy reid….now go back to the play dough.

  15. Pantherpride, you better be glad you have Deangelo Williams. Thats who you are going to have to hand the ball off to over and over again so your wash out QB doesn’t throw six picks a game. Brees > anything the Panthers have on offense.

yeah, steve smith is never ranked as a top 5 rec. year in and year out. i guess he has nothing on colston. also, carolina’s back-up rb is j-stewart who had 10 TD’s, which is a handful more than your “#1 RD” P. Thomas
