Bengals tight end Ben Utecht has been released from the hospital, the morning after arriving due to a concussion suffered during a Wednesday evening training-camp practice.
All tests were normal — Utecht suffered no damage to his spine. That said, he won’t immediately be returning to the field. Instead, he’ll be assessed by specialists regarding the concussion that resulted in Utecht laying motionless on the field for a dozen minutes.
The Bengals currently have only two healthy tight ends. They are expected to sign another one soon.
“We’ll look to bring in some people,” coach Marvin Lewis said, per the team’s web site. “You may take a look at
guys like that physically, older guys, what they can do in a workout
situation. I think you’d want to research some of that.”

Because “Thugs” caused Utecht to be soft, he was soft and injury prone last year too. And he never had to put in real time with the Colts, you have Dallas Clark, Jon. BTW, none of our players have ever been involved in a MURDER trial, Jon.
