Only one of five defendants in the murder of Sean Taylor has pleaded guilty, and he recently filed a motion to withdraw that plea.
The defendant, Venjah Hunte, changed course again Friday. He will not withdraw the plea and plans to testify against his four co-defendants.
Police say that Hunte drove the other four men to the scene, but did not enter Taylor’s house. He will now receive a 29-year jail sentence.
Hunte’s change of heart came after a dramatic meeting with his mother, who was reportedly sobbing loudly in the courtroom. Hunte risked getting two life sentences if he withdrew the plea.
After being allowed to meet with his mother and lawyer privately, he changed his plans.
Mr. Florio is the legal expert in these parts, but the case against Taylor’s alleged assailants will seemingly be much easier to try with Hunte’s testimony.
RIP 21.
Just another example of “keeping it real” getting young guys in trouble…
CLUE…WITHDRAWL, NOT WITHDRAW.
Holy crap…..29 years for driving the car, AND flipping on them? That seems surprisingly stiff.
Not saying he doesn’t deserve it. Just saying it’s surprising that he gets that sentence, even after cooperating against the others, when some people don’t even do 10 years for actually committing a murder.
Crookedsteve is a dirt bag with no respect for the game!!
Rip Taylor !! One hell of an athlete!!!
so many die too early
Rip Taylor !! One hell of an athlete!!!
tfbuckfutter, after watching everybody go crazy over the plaxico gun business, check out the gun laws in florida, they are unbelievably severe.
The judge who disarmed him should get life.
CLUE 2: Withdraw: 1. to take back; remove. 2. to retract or recall
Withdrawl is the reference to a drug that causes physical dependency being used for a long time then decreased inusage or dosage.
If you’re going to be the word police get it right.
Can anyone imagine the Redskins Defense if Taylor was still on the field? That’s a scary thought.

Clue #3: The word is “withdrawal” when referring to drugs. “Withdrawl” is how people speak down South.
“Rip Taylor !! One hell of an athlete!!!”
Rip Taylor was an athlete?
I thought that “withdrawl” was how a lot of southern folks speak.

CLUE…
“WITHDRAWL” is not even a word. “WITHDRAWAL” is a word, but it’s not the appropriate word here.
“WITHDRAW” is correct.
Jackass.
With 29 years….he will get out in 5.
29 years isn’t so bad for a sentence for conspiracy to commit murder, burglary, etc.
He gets to lay around in taxpayer housing, eat taxpayer food, have taxpayer clothing, taxpayer electricity, taxpayer recreational area, get taxpayer medical and dental care, get to lay around on a tapayer bunk, and listen to rap music all day.
He doesn’t have to work and can relax all that he wants to relax.
It is the life that rappers deam about.
drives a car for someone else who kills someone and he gets 29 years
stallworth drives a car and kills somone himself and he doesnt even get 29 days
thats fcking sick
Yep, got busted by the spelling police (I’ll do the time). withdrawal, not withdrawl.
Rest in Peace, Sean Taylor. Not a Skins fan, but loved your game.
