Eli contract not quite finalized yet

Three days after Eli Manning agreed to a record new contract, he still hasn’t actually signed it.

The New York Daily News reports that sources on both sides aren’t concerned, though.

“There’s a lot of details in this kind of deal,” said G.M. Jerry Reese. “I’m not concerned at all.”

There is no timetable for the deal to be completed, but Reese hopes its “sooner than later.”

And the sooner it does get finished, the sooner the agent for Philip Rivers can take a peek at it and start working on his extension.

That is one heck of a contract for someone who has a career 76 passer rating along with a 55 completion pct.. Maybe Reese had the tape of the 07 playoff run on in his booth during the eagle playoff game when eli basically was non competitive, throwing for 160 yds, with no tds and 2 ints…

blah blah blah blah. All Eli haters can do is bring up passer ratings and completion percentage. He is a winner, he doesn’t crumble under pressure and has already won a ring entering his prime. Which is more than most of the clown’s teams on this message board can say. Give it a F-ing rest already.

Maybe they will sign it when the new stadium opens and his rag arm won’t seem so bad compared to the winds in the meadowlands……You gotta admit, when the wind blows there, he throws like a 12 year old girl……..

Eli is holding out for Mara to petition the competition committee to let him use these in home games.
