PFT’s fearless leader is out of his mother’s basement for the weekend and will be arriving at tonight’s Hall of Fame game in Canton, Ohio shortly.
Before turning the proceedings over to him, here is a look at eight players we’re watching Sunday night.
1. Titans QB Vince Young: The first time we’ll see him on the field since his meltdown last year. He is competing with Patrick Ramsey for the backup job.
2. Bills WR Terrell Owens: Sure, he won’t play long. But that just means more time for in-game sideline interviews.
3. Titans DE Kyle Vanden Bosch: He also won’t play many snaps, but it will be good
to see if this underrated pass rusher is fully healthy again.
4. Bills QB Trent Edwards: We doubt the Bills will break out their new no huddle already.
5. Titans RB LenDale White: Will a slimmed-down LenDale be as lovable? Also keep an eye on the battle for the third running back job, led by rookie Javon Ringer.
6. Bills S Donte Whitner: We just don’t want him getting mad if he’s excluded from this list.
7. Bills TE Shawn Nelson: With Derek Shouman not playing, we’ll see a lot of Buffalo’s catch-first rookie tight end.
8. Buffalo’s entire offensive line: Now there are more than eight players on the list; oh well. Watch to see if Buffalo’s rebuilt (and young) o-line can hold their own against Tennessee’s impressive defensive front.
Alright, who are we kidding? It’s preseason football; you can’t learn that much.
But it’s live NFL football again. Overhyping is allowed.
Number 4… wrong
The Bills quarterbacks suck……..Period.
Tony Dungy was talking about Michael Vick signing with a team in about 2 weeks. He didn’t say what team… my feeling is the Packers.
“1. Titans QB Vince Young: The first time we’ll see him on the field since his meltdown last year.”
Actually, Young saw action in the Titans’ last game of the 2009 season. He threw like a 56-yard TD.
I disagree with 1, 4, and 7.
