The Jets already know that they will be without their best pass rusher, Calvin Pace, for the season opener againts Houston.
Now it appears they will be without another starter: defensive end Shaun Ellis.
The Newark Star-Ledger cites two league courses that say Ellis is expected to be suspended one game for his arrest last November for possession of marijuana. Patriots running back Kevin Faulk was suspended one game last season for a similar arrest.
The league and the Jets both declined comment on the matter Saturday.
Rex Ryan’s defense will be tested against Houston, one of the best emerging offenses in the league. Mike DeVito is expected to replace Ellis.

That can’t be true. The league NEVER disciplines the Patriots. Everyone knows that.
You must have some facts incorrect. Like the length of the suspension. If Kevin Faulk was suspended for 1 game for something, then someone on the Jets would obviously be suspended for 8 games for the same offense.

Very odd, the league NEVER penalizes Pansie players. Usually they avoid suspension by becoming snitches on their own dealers.
