Young Jeezy scored the first interview of Mike Vick, sort of.
The second one will be conducted by James Brown, via 60 Minutes on CBS.
(We’re not sure what’s on NBC at that time. It might be Blossom.)
John Ourand tweeted the development a little while ago. Earlier today, reports surfaced that a camera crew from 60 Minutes had been following Vick around.
Our guess is that former Bucs and Colts coach Tony Dungy, who is serving as an adviser and mentor to Vick, also will be interviewed as part of the segment.
And, no, we didn’t mention Dungy’s involvement so that we could mention that Dungy is now working for NBC.
But it didn’t hurt.
Still, for those of you with “special boxes” on your televisions, we strongly recommend Blossom.
Is Andy Rooney still alive?
A show only watched by old liberals. Should be a swell time.
I would much rather watch some lame show like Blossom rather than seeing some dog-killing, herpes-spreading, degenerate lowlife ghetto douchebag mugging it up for the camera in hopes that someone, anyone will feel sorry enough to give him a starting gig.
Hey Vick: It’s called “poetic justice”. Look into it.
A horrible decision. Very dumb move.
GREAT! Maybe he can talk about being the next black QB to win a super bowl and going to the Hall! Wait, wait, that was Vince “I suck just as bad at QB as Vick” Young.
In that case, maybe he can do another Thug Motivation video!
Come here mama….and dig this crazy scene
He’s not too fancy….but his line is pretty clean
He ain’t no frog
Papa’s got a brand new dog
.. “Whoa!”
This will be like another Obama infomercial with the questions already supplied for the scripted answer.
How in the world was he not advised to do this sooner?
Tony dungy should leave that clown alone. Is he trying for sainthood?
I don’t know if anyone else is starting to feel this way, but I am starting to Get Farveanosis about Vick.
I think he should be reinstated as he was, and some team should sign him, but until he is, can we please go more then 3 hours with a FREAKING VICK UPDATE!!!

Is Andy Rooney still alive?
*************************************
Didn’t you hear? Yes Andy Rooney is still alive. the Patriots just signed him to a 3 year contract .
James Brown will ask Vick some tough questions. I’d like to know what Vick thinks he can do to restore his image. I’d like to see the guy change his life for the better.
puff piece
CBSNews.com is also reporting the head of the US Human Society, Wayne Pacelle, will also be interviewed.
I prefer the SNOWMANS take on MV7
The questions should focus more on the “gambling” aspects of his activities than the dog fighting.
We know a lot about the dog fighting, but know very little about the gambling, and the gambling angle is critical since he has been and will be again a professional football player.
You mean Young Jeezy wasn’t the 60 Minutes correspondent assigned to the piece?
I’d rather watch Andre Smith fart the terms of his contract while playing with his bitch tits, than watch any Vick nonsense.
Gameday.
Rooney isn’t a linebacker though.
America is sad, they focus more on animals than humans unless you are of the caucasion persuation. A the underprivaledge humans in the USA. Leave that man alone he’s done time he should not have even done.
Maybe if the NFL gig doesn’t work out, Wayne Pacelle’s can give Vick a job Euthanizing dogs?
Wayne Pacelle is cozying up to Vick to help him try and restore his image. Not a push over by any means, but he wants Humane Society mentioned every time Vick is. Better than the nuts at PETA I suppose.

A puff piece? 7+ years of criminal activity and now Vick is spending a few weeks to repair the damage?
Don’t think so…… 60 Minutes or not. That show is so buried in the ratings that not much will come of it.
I watched Vick play at Virginia Tech. He was a brilliant QB. He also did well in Atlanta and we all hoped that he would grow up and stay out of trouble! Vick became a criminal here in Virginia and he went to jail. We don’t want criminals in the NFL; especially those that are easy to identify. Vick needs to move on try to sell used cars or some such job. We don’t want to see criminals play football on Sunday! CBS, you’d better think twice about airing the interview.
It is a sad day when someone can torture another living thing the way he did and be allowed to walk the streets a few yrs later.
vick should be in prison for life and here we are discussing what team will sign him…
If my favorite tema signs this piece of trash , I will root against them for the ramainder of my life and my new favorite team will be whatever team is playing them.
“60 Minutes” averages 15 million viewers an episode (compared to Monday Night Football which draws 12 million. )
And I am sure the ratings will be up for the Vick interview with people wanting to see if he’s sorry or just sorry he was caught
its about time. he hasn’t talked to organized media yet. I wanna hear what he has to say.
Two Questions?
1) If you don’t like Mike Vick, and are tired of news concerning Mike Vick; why are you reading this article?
2) Have any of you ever played a down of football?
My guess is that you Vick haters didn’t like him from the get go, and you probably never had any success on the field. Whether he plays another down in the NFL or not….those of you who think so highly of yourselves, and so little of him can hold your breath until someone recognizes something good about you.
I played the game…….how about you….
Nielsen ratings for July 27-Aug. 2
5 60 Minutes CBS 9.6 million viewers
Broadcast: Tops among 18-49-year-olds
60 Boring Minutes did NOT make the Top 20.
Anyway, a lot of people believe there are opportunities to make money off of Vick. It’s not football. It’s marketing a redemption. As an NFL fan, it causes me to taste a bit of vomit coming up.
I played the game…….how about you….I played the game…….how about you….I played the game…….how about you….I played the game…….how about you….I played the game…….how about you…. -

RealAthelete….
So playing Football has given you some kind of special insight into Michael the dog murderer’s life ? Tell me, did you wear a helmet when you played ? I suspect that you did not.
This punk should not be allowed back into the NFL again… Hate to say it but we need a positive role model out there…. Players like Chamura, Irving, Lewis, Plaxico.. Damn! They screwed up and look at them. And nobody or no dog died. Well, wait a minute?… i think someone died in the lewis case, cant remember… Football players are getting shot? What are we putting on the feild? convicks?….. How can you watch the greatest game on earth, with your kid, and root for a idea… for a player? knowing that hey, the guy “bodyslammed” dogs to thier death… or that he “drowned” female dogs cause they wouldnt mate with the males, it isnt like he needed the money… And this was while he is making Millions to live the “dream”.. To get out of the ghetto and make something of him self….You can take him out of the ghetto… but you cant take the ghetto out of him… so the saying goes….. wow… we as america, black or white need to set better examples… hell vick went to college.. tell me he didnt know somewhere in those years at higher learning that not only is it illegal, but immoral and wrong… I truly love the sport of football…. i just dont like who is playing it anymore…and yes i played the game.. with respect, and dignity…… just like my coach taught me…… peace

=====================================
Your guess would be incorrect. I used to dig the guy. He was one of the most fun to watch, and I’d often find myself tuning in to Falcons games because of him.
If by “thinking so highly of ourselves” you mean we get grossed out and disgusted by the sick and twisted nature of the atrocities he committed to those animals, then yes, many of us think rather highly of ourselves. I know I could never deliberately starve an animal. I could never connect steal someone’s pet to be used as a training tool. I could never bash an animals head against the ground to kill it. I could never hang an animal, nor could I electrocute it through it’s genitals.
If the goal was to simply put the animals down that were thought to be unfit to fight, why did he have to do so in such grotesque ways? By all appearances, the methods he chose had to give him some form of pleasure. Otherwise he would have chosen a more humane way, such as maybe a bullet to the head.
So, it’s not that we think so highly of ourselves. It’s that we’re able to recognize disgusting behavior that so many Vick supporters choose to ignore. It’s not a black and white thing, it’s not about a white guy trying to keep the man down; it’s about speaking out against a person who chose to commit atrocities so heinous, they literally turn the stomach when you think about them.
And what’s playing “a down of football” have to do with having an opinion?
Did you ever notice how many commercials on TV involve dogs in some way??? That’s because people love[/] dogs!!! And in the same proportion, people detest Michael Vick and the dreadful things he has done to dogs!!! He will *not* be accepted by the overwhelming majority of the NFL fan base.
Vick’s NFL career is over… He just needs to accept it. And Mike, don’t let the door hit you in the butt on the way out!!!
@ realathletehere
Since you played the game you should be able to understand that not everyone is as athletically gifted as you and Vick. Not that it makes a difference to me. Still I have a hard time feeling sorry for any idiot that hangs, and electrocutes animals for fun. I’m sure that Vick and his friends were laughing it up and most likely placing bets on how long these animals would live while they were being tortured. I don’t feel that playing in the NFL is some God-given right if you have enough talent, not by any means. But I’m sure that he’s sorry and much better now and yada, yada, yada. Truth be known I didn’t think he was much of a QB but he could run like the wind. He was even fun to watch at times, but does the NFL owe him a thing? Absolutely not!
WOW RACISM IN AMERICA IT DOES NOT EXIST, WERE IS MARTIN LUTHER KING WHEN WE NEED HIM, HAS THERE EVER BEEN A DEBATE OVER WETHER A HUMAN BEING AN AMERICAN DESERVES TO MAKE A LIVING AND TAKE CARE OF HIS FAMILY AFTER SPENDING TWO YEARS IN JAIL,
WHERE IS JOHNNY CASH , CHARLES DUTTON RICHARD NIXON BILL CLINTON WHEN WE NEED THEM. THERE ARE A LOT OF PEOPLE WHO COMMIT CRIMES AND BECOME GOOD CITIZENS WHEN DID AMERICA BECOME
THE SOUTH BECAUSE NO OTHER COUNTRY IS LIKE THIS NOT EVEN CHINA OR RUSSIA, EVEN SUDAM IF U SURVIVED DEATH PRISON U COULD GO BACK TO TEND TO YOUR SHEEP. IT HAS TO BE RACISM WHY HE DOES NOT GET A CHANCE. ADAM PACMAN JONES DID MICHEAL IRVING AND
THAT FOOL WHO KILLED A WOMAN IS STILL PLAYING DEFENSIVE END FOR THE RAMS.
ALL QBS IN NFL ARE NOT TOM BRADY OR PAYTON MANNING BUT RACIST
WILL ALWAYS TELL US HOW THEY LOVE DOGS I WOULD HAVE HANDLED HIM IF HE MURDERED MY FAMILY DOG BUT HE DID HIS TIME
Mike Vick is the Barak Obama of Football
They may as well forget if it’s going to be scripted. I want to hear him one time, answer questions in his own words, without reading them off a piece of paper. There should be no question off limits to this guy, after everything he did, and then lied about it. People want to hear from him in his own words, and until they do, there won’t be any forgiving. We want proof that this guy is worthy.
At this point, I would think Vick would know what to do, without the help of Tony Dungy.
I wonder what Tyrod Taylor has to say about all of this?
RealAthleteHere – Pee Wee doesn’t count as having “played the game”!
Anyway, a lot of people believe there are opportunities to make money off of Vick. It’s not football. It’s marketing a redemption. As an NFL fan, it causes me to taste a bit of vomit coming up.
——————————
It’s not much of a redemption when Vick has done exactly jack-shit but show that he is anything but sorry he got caught in the first place. The fact remains that had he not been caught, he’d still be killing dogs and running an illicit gambling circuit today.
lol @ the closet racists in here!! lolol..
————-BROTHERMAN————
You seriously pulled the race card, then used Pacman and Irving to back it up? THEY ARE AFRICAN AMERICAN AND GOT SECOND CHANCES IN THE NFL!!!! Think before you type!
As far as Vick goes, the guy did his time. He’s a football player, let him play football. NONE of you would have a problem with a shelf stocker getting another job as a shelf stocker, after going to prison. YOU’RE ALL GREEDY “MARSHAL FAULKERS”!! That’s why it bothers you that he might get a second chance in the NFL!!!
