Though X-rays on his strained shoulder were negative, Panthers receiver Steve Smith might still miss some time.
Per the Charlotte Observer, the agent for Smith says he’ll miss at least two weeks.
And that could mean he’ll miss the entire preseason.
“Steve has a high threshold of pain, and he’s in a lot of pain, so something’s off-kilter,” agent Derrick Fox told the Observer.
Smith was injured during practice on Monday.
Last year, Smith missed the first two games of the season, but not due to injury. He was suspended after beating up former Panthers cornerback Ken Lucas during practice.
Maybe he got some sand in his vag . All that anger built up and no Ken Lucas to hit .
Naturally, after I picked him in the 3rd round of my draft last night…
OMG, the horror… missing the preseason??
Well, there goes the Panthers chances of winning the ‘Preseason SB trophy’. No rings for them.
@ Bill in DC…exactly..no one here in Charlotte is ‘throwing in the towel’..at least not yet!
this will also give Dwayne Jarret some run with the 1st team O and give us a chance to see if he can earn more playing time and actually contribute like a 2nd round pick
Steve Smith or not, expect a week one loss.
