The Bucs have a preseason game on Saturday, but they don’t currently have someone able to punt for them.
Long-time starter Josh Bidwell could miss the rest of the season because of a hip problem that has him in great pain. He is scheduled for further tests to evaluate the situation.
While it would be fun to see Tampa go for it on fourth down every series like they were playing Madden, the team is scrambling to find someone to fill Bidwell’s cleats. Two punters will tryout Thursday.
Bidwell’s injury means that Tampa could have a brand new kicking combo this year.
Kicker Matt Bryant has a hamstring injury, and is at risk of losing his job to free agent addition Mike Nugent.
Grammar good, Mongo.
they will definately need a good punter, they won’t be getting many 1st downs this season

Hi, I’m Gregg Easterbrook, and I approve this message.
Berger’s and Ernster’s agents are calling right now.
Nobody out there in free agency is better than Bidwell. This hurts the defense too. Bidwell was good at winning the field position battle with his punts. Hope he’ll back soon and he finds why its hurts so bad. GO BUCS!
GO FALCONS!
Did he hurt his hip with an axe?
