Owens lets "followers" know he could be back Monday

The Bills haven’t given a public timetable for Terrell Owens’ return from his toe injury, so T.O. took matters into his own hands Thursday.

In response to a tweet from teammate Kawika Mitchell that Bills practice crowds have quieted down since Owens’ injury, the “T.O. Show” star wrote:

I’ll b back possibly on mon, I’ll make sure things r back 2 normal! I do apologize tht the fan enthusiasm has been down! Lol.”

If Owens is out until Monday, he will miss Buffalo’s second preseason game this weekend.  The team had yet to disclose whether Owens could suit up.

And while there is little importance to Owens’ status for a preseason game, this is just the type of information leaking out that will scare NFL coaches.

It would be great if the public got more transparent injury information from players because of Twitter, but that’s not likely to happen.

It’s far more likely that teams will crack down hard on any player who gives away his availability before a game that actually counts.

Far better than releasing injury info before the other teams know, is to release things like this and say you are hurt and will begin practice next week and then play in the game sunday.
hoping your gay, homosexual, queer, for teenage girls tweet confused the other teams coaches and they did not prepare for you as much

It seems, Achilles had his heel and now TO has his toe. Perhaps Alice, the over-bearing grandmother that raised Terrell, held him by his big toe and dipped him in some Alabama sticks backwater. Now, according to Homer in the “Iliad,” Achilles had a weak spot, but like Terrell, it was his pride it wasn’t his heel or his toe. It seems fitting that TO, the loud-mouth, gifted, physically fit receiver that practiced so hard, competed so aggressively, and wanted to win so badly could never overcome or contain his all consuming pride and will have his career end with an injury to his TOE in a pre-season game. Bye, bye TOe you season is over!
