Rex Grossman out for a month

Rex Grossman’s first appearance with the Texans made his former teammate Kyle Orton’s debut with Denver look fun by comparison.

Now trying to revive his career as a reserve in Houston, the quarterback formerly known as Sexy Rexy lasted five plays.  He threw a long incompletion, fumbled a snap, handed off three times, and then left the game with a hamstring injury.

Now he’s scheduled to think about his dreadful performance for the next four-to-five weeks as he recovers from the injury.

Texans coach Gary Kubiak says the team will look for another quarterback in the meantime, but the relatively short recovery period should keep Grossman’s spot on the team secure.  We think.

How can this guy fumble so many snaps? Does he have tiny hands? Just seems to fumble a LOT of snaps for someone thats been a QB in this league with a LOT of playing time over 5 or 6 years.

Good to see his fumbling snaps wasn’t the center’s fault.

He’s out “four-to-weeks”? What the hell is four-to-weeks?
Is that like a fortnight in the third trimester of a leap year?

I am pretty bummed that the Bears did not keep Grossman or Orton.
Cutler is such a big step down.

If you can’t tell the difference between Cutler and Grossman then you need to stop watching football.

Rex Grossman played in a Super Bowl, but yet his entire career has seemed to be a slow torturous grind through the quarterback blender that is the NFL.
Almost won a super bowl ring, should have won a heisman and a national championship in 2001 one at Florida. Shoulda, coulda, woulda kind of career for Rex.

This kid couldn’t even make it out of preseason twice! No big shock. That is why you want a big human at qb.
