The Broncos bombshell that Jamie Dukes teased earlier tonight is, as expected, about Brandon Marshall.
Dukes promised that NFL Network's Jason La Canfora would post a report on the matter tonight.
As it turns out, the "bombshell" looks to be more of the same friction between Marshall and the organization.
The Denver Post reports that Marshall's agent, Kennard McGuire, met with Broncos brass Monday in an effort to "feel out" Denver's willingness to give his client a new contract.
After Denver said they weren't interested in reworking Marshall's deal, McGuire reiterated the trade request Marshall made back in June.
And, once again, the Broncos said it wasn't going to happen.
The trade request comes on the same day that Marshall skipped the team's evening practice, despite saying he was fully healthy on Sunday.
Marshall recently returned to Denver after being found not guilty on misdemeanor battery charges Friday in Atlanta.
It's unclear whether Marshall plans to do anything except sit out practices, but his renewed trade request is likely to escalate tensions between him and the team. ESPN's Adam Schefter reports that Marshall wasn't taking "mental reps" on the field or working out like usual Monday.
Now that Marshall has been found innocent, it looks like he is moving on to phase two of a summer of discontent.
This isn't exactly shocking news to anyone that has followed Marshall's situation.
Dukes' tweet set off the phone lines in Denver, and the Broncos say nothing new is happening. Schefter confirmed the Post story and says the Broncos are "adamant" they won't trade Marshall or get him a new deal.
So, basically Marshall's standoff with the team will continue and escalate.
And we suspect that all Dukes' tweet accomplished was to get own network's reporter scooped.

wow....that was lame....I wasted hitting my refresh button for that! I knew it was going to be something boring though because no reporter has the ability to sit on a good "scoop" for an hour due to the fear someone else may break it first
Dukes is such an idiot.
BORINGGGgggggg
How many times do you think that the Denver fans are refreshing their web pages in hopes of seeing something exciting?
lmao, I think it's safe to say that all of you Denver fans can go to bed. Jamie Dukes should of just had a link to a Rick Roll video....so that all the speculation can be put to rest for the night. Needless to say, I got a good laugh browsing through the Bronco message boards. These fans are a comedy act in itself.
Jamie Dukes is a big fat idiot. Not that we needed this "tweet" to confirm it further...I'm sure his buddy Jason loves him right now.
Bombshell?! This?! Really?! Pathetic.
Jamie Dukes is a drooling moron.
Cuz these tactics have worked so well for all others who have used them...sure is "baby T.O."
That was pretty lame. I was hoping Marshall to the Eagles for Vick, or Marshall resigned, or McDaniels punches a defensive backs coach...oh wait. The Raiders are still the Raiders.
Why did they deal cutler and not marshall tho? Did cutler draw better offers? Why would you want to keep marshall around if he doesn't want to b

Dukes meant, Boooring, not bombshell.
Schefter didn't scoop La Canfora. Duke allowed other reporters to get a different story. La Canfora has broke a real bombshell. Apparently, the Broncos did the unthinkable. They apologized to Brandon Marshall. Take a minute to pick yourself off the floor from this bombshell and read the blog:

Well first, Jason La Canfora didnt write that article, so to say this is what the "bombshell" was is premature. Also, Dukes didnt write that the "bombshell" was gonna be about Marshall, so he may not be writing about "the" matter.
While this could be what Mr. Dukes was referring to, I personally will wait and see if indeed the teaser was, well, nothing new.

Come on Florio. Earlier you reported that Marshall was acquitted. Now you are saying he was found not guilty. You should know better than to mix the two. The latter implies an inference of lingering guilt. Get it straight. I thought you were a lawyer at one time.
Geez Denver is a mess. That once proud franchise has sunk to new depths....
