Marvin Harrison wants to play

Marvin Harrison didn’t receive much interest as a free agent this offseason, but that’s partially because teams weren’t sure if Harrison even wanted to play again.

According to ESPN for real at last’s Adam Schefter, Harrison would like to play this season, if given the choice.  (It’s probably no coincidence Harrison and Brett Favre’s names are popping up with training camp ending.)

Speaking on Monday Night Countdown, Schefter said that Tennessee has called about Harrison, and other teams have shown some level of interest.  Harrison isn’t a lock to play football again, but he would return in the right situation.

Playing time and money would presumably be among Harrison’s chief concerns.

It’s unclear how the rest of the league views Harrison, but it’s hard to imagine him getting a contract anywhere close to the deal he turned down to stay with Indianapolis.

Do you just sit and watch ESPN? I swear everytime I hear them talk something football on ESPN 5 minutes later I read an echo on PFT.com

Today Philadelphia G.M./Quarterback Donovan McNabb said Harrison deserves a “second chance” after his car wash / firearm mess from last year.

Stay retired, Marvin. Vick is gonna help you start a new enterprise in your hood. He knows it’s your hood so he’ll stay in line and maybe you won’t have to cap his ass.

The Raiders should sign him so he can keep Cable in line.
    *Bang* *Bang*

I can see it now…McNabb, Vick, Plaxico and Harrison can put a Team together and play against the Prison Guards. That’s the kind of stuff of which movies are made.

Bills need to pick him up and skip to the end with TO. Marvin will become the QB’s favorite receiver, and TO can start his famous sideline rant and pout to the media.
He’s going to implode anyways, get it over with.
He’ll top it off with how nice it would be to play with Mike Vick, what an awesome duo they’d be, and invite the Eagles to take him back.

The Titans will take him. They have built their team partly on ex-Colts (Jake Scott, David Thornton, Nick Harper and maybe now Harrison). It will be a sad day in Indy to see 88 in one of those really ugly uniforms catching passes from Kerry Collins.

I hope Marvin doesn’t goto the Titans (probably will though)
I just pictured it and almost puked
I hope the Philly thing happens though
He could be Vicks protection (not during games for any idiots out there)

That’s too bad he would make a great third Muskateer to Johnson, and White.

Can someone explain Marvin’s reaction to the Colt’s offer? In most jobs, taking a pay cut isn’t acceptable. But Marvin surely knows that with the salary cap, they can’t continue to pay him, like, $12m. The Colts asked him to stay and still offered to pay him bundles (wasn’t it $4-6m?). Can it actually be as simple as saying he was offended, and pride wouldn’t let him play another year for the Colts?
I wanted to see a big retirement bash, but this seems to have ended in bad blood. What gives?

Perfect fit for him would be Chicago. You d have cutler who can throw the ball like Manning and he could become our featured reciever as on the Bears he is a number 1 since we have no real reciever core. He could come mentor Hester and our young recivers while giving us a legit recieving threat. Place him with Forte, Olsen, Clark Cutler and Hester on the other side and you have some possibilities.Ohh and we will take Burris next season.
