Cris Carter says Favre will start Friday night

So with ESPN adding to its stable of NFL information specialists with Adam Schefter joining the fold, some of the network’s analysts are branching out into the information business.

Former Vikings receiver Cris Carter said earlier this hour on SportsCenter that Favre will start Friday night’s home game against the Chiefs.

It sounded like something stronger than a prediction.

The prior thinking was that Favre would merely show up and wave to the crowd on Friday, with his debuting coming on August 31 against the Texans.

  1. The return of Jesus Christ himself wouldn’t be so anticipated. I should have drafted Brett over Mcnabb in my fantasy draft

    TURD, TURD.
    Vikings vs. Steelers/Chargers Super Bowl.
Get out from under Belicheats desk , wipe your lips off, and TRY to find a woman. (and NO your mother doesnt count.

  3. I’m sure his Viking “teammates”, who have busted their asses through training camp, will appreciate this asshole dropping in on the team without putting in any of the same blood sweat or tears that they have this training camp.
Recipe for disaster, and regime change come January.

  4. Please make it possible to view PFT’s full site on mobile phones again and not just the “on the go” version. I want to be able to read older posts and see comments on my phone. PLEASE!!!

  5. The more Chris Carter and Mark Schlereth speak, the dumber we all get. Now seriously, what does this story have to do with Pat White? Nothing. So why is it on here at all? “White To Ginn, For The Win! – The Miami Dolphins’ Guide To Sucessful Drafting” now in the clearance section of Barnes & Noble, on the wobbly table whose short leg is being held up by “The Quarterback of The Future”.

  6. okay all you Fart/Favre lickers as I promised you if and when this became a reality – now read it and weep.
The “Games Without a FART/FARVE Intercption Meter” will begin Sunday, September 10th and will be posted on a regular basis to all Fart/Farve threads.

  7. A year ago when Favre was on his way out of Green Bay, I said that they should have traded him to Minnesota. The Vikings would have given up a whole lot more than the Jets did – maybe a couple of first round picks.
He’s in Minnesota a year later, and instead of having a couple of their divisional foes’ #1s, they got one year of Favre-free Vikings and a fraction of Clay Matthews (3rd round pick used to trade up) in return.
Unless Clay Matthews becomes a stud, and Harvin a complete bust, Thompson looks foolish on this one.

All that closet queen windbag could ever talk about was his man love for Tom Brady & Brett Favre, no matter who was on the field.
