Awesome! Now I can watch the Vikings crash and burn in December as Favre folds again like a cheap suit! The only bad part in all this is that Chilly will be fired at the end of the season and the Queenies may hire a decent coach.

Yeah, they did so well they felt the need to bend over backwards to get Favre in there. And they were willing to throw away Sage and Tarvaris for it. Trust me. This doesn’t end well for the Vikings. The only outcome that justifies it is a Super Bowl win. And I won’t pretend that’s not a possibility, but if I were a Vikings fan I’d be begging them to draft or trade for a long-term answer at QB. They haven’t done that. Peterson is still young. They need to get some talent around him on offense for years to come. Right now they don’t have it.
If Favre doesn’t work out this season, they’re looking for another stop-gap solution to take another shot next year, or they recognize the problem and draft a young QB. Chilly would be gone, and they’d be in a mini-rebuilding phase. The defense is good, but Pat Williams isn’t going to play forever. When he retires the defense will suffer. The LB play won’t look as good, the run defense gets worse and the pass defense is already bad.
I’m not scared about Favre. I know you just need to get a lead on the Vikings and he’ll start forcing passes. Easier said than done, but that’s the key. It takes Peterson out of the game plan and puts the ball in Favre’s hands. And I know his play declines at the end of the season when the Vikings will need him most.

I was a Favre-Fanatic oh so many years ago. Got to see the guy play once in college
But enough is enough. To say his legend is tarnished is the understatement of the year.
I’ve never known another football personality like him. It’s just bizarre.
But I’m glad he’s back. It’ll give us plenty to talk about.

You played the CARDINALS for God’s sake….and should have lost that except for a questionable touchdown catch.
The CARDS were probably the worst of the NFC playoff teams last year and you still almost lost to them…so i wouldn’t be bragging about anything.

I have been a DIE-HARD Viking fan since they came into the league in 1961 and I have to say that this may be THE biggest mistake they have ever made….even bigger than the trade for Walker in the 80′s.
We had everything lined up for a Super Bowl run this year and now all of that goes down the toilet for a washed up, has-been Ex-Packer, renegade.

Of COURSE he’s going to sign with the Vikings today…training camp is over. He doesn’t have to be a teammate, he doesn’t have to do any real work, he can just waltz in and be Brett Favre and they’ll fall at his feet in gratitude. This was clearly his plan all along. Sorry for you, Vikes fans.
