I am happy that Mike Singletary was chosen for coach of the 49er’s. I like Singletary and he was a fantastic player with the bears, very well respected. He knows how to train his player’s well and there is a possibility the 49er’s could make it to the Super Bowl and maybe the Bears with all the attention that Cutler received lately. I think it is in bad taste to severely downgrade any player because all player’s have made their mistakes. No one is perfect in sports. In time their perfection has an ending. Just ask Tiger Woods. And he is a great golfer. Favre is a great quarterback but an end will come also. Montana was a great quarterback and brought the 49er’s to several Su;per Bowls. I love watching football. Its the number one sport with me. We had two great surprising Super Bowls with both Manning brothers winning back to back. All I can say to you is if your team is in the Su;er Bowl and don’t win just be glad they won the chance to play. Don’t be mad at them show some congradulations that they got that far.

Vick is not Favre. The only reason for Vick’s attention is because he served time in prison and the Eagles signed him up because no other team would take him. He needed a job. As a quarterback he is not as good as Favre and I don’t believe that the Eagles will be in the Su;per Bowl because Goodell should have given Vick the same rights as all the other players. If you reinstate a former player then he should be playing on the field. Then they could have a chance at the Super Bowel. Goodell gave too many instructions to Vick as to what he can do and not do personally. Goodell is not the best commissioner for football. I also believe the Vikings can make it with Favre. 39 years old is not that old. And Goodell wasn’t good to Favre.

Confirms my pick of Packer’s D as backup fantasy D – at least those two weeks. Seriously, is anyone really surprised? The Vikes would really satisfied w/ either Jackson or Rosenfels and not looking at anyone else? Talk about your all-time worst kept secrets. I guess 12 million buys plenty of solid handoffs to AP. Let’s move on to the (serious) discussions on the Vikes being your solid Super Bowl contender out of the NFC. Here’s to seeing Minnesota versus Philly in the NFC championship – what a friggin’ circus that would be.

I’ll be the Vikings don’t make the playoffs. Favre will prove he has nothing left in the tank, by adding to his already prodigious interception record.
Favre just wants to extend his consecutive game streak. He already showed that last season. He’s playing for purely selfish reasons. I never believed he was actually going to retire this season, and neither did Favre. He just didn’t want to go through training camp.

vikings fans are just happy that his jerseys will make a bunch of money and delay the move of their team for another few years. what i don’t get is how there can be so many obnoxious vikings fans on this board when in reality they don’t always sell out their games and tickets are always available. if they care as much as they project, why could i buy season tickets to these clowns by simply dialing the phone?
