Ahman Green gets a look in St. Louis

When listing some of the veteran tailbacks who are still looking for work, we forget to mention Ahman Green.

And of a gaggle of aging ball carriers including guys like Warrick Dunn, Edgerrin James, Deuce McAllister, and Shaun Alexander, Green is the only one who recently has had his tires kicked.

Per Jason La Canfora of NFL.com, Green worked out for the Rams this week.

Green, an eleven-year veteran, spent two years with the Seahawks before being traded to the Packers.  After seven seasons in Green Bay, he spent two injury-riddled campaigns with the Texans.

Since 2006, Green has started only six regular-season games.

  1. Warrick Dunn, Edgerrin James, Deuce McAllister, and Shaun Alexander should play in the UFL to prove they can still bring it.

  2. “Since 2006, Green has started only six regular-season games”
And he finished maybe one or two of those…

  3. Green had a great running style when in Green Bay—Just goes to show ya what this sport does to athletes..

  4. Eric Hipple you forgot Ray Caruth (Spelling?)….if Dungy could get him a job then they better make an adendum to the bible.

  5. Another guy Ted Thompson was right on time letting go of. Of course, the TT haters won’t give him any credit for it – or Javon Walker(who’s traded draft pick turned into Greg Jennings), or Marco Rivera or Mike Wahle or Mike McKenzie.
I wish Ahman the best though, he had a couple of great seasons with the Pack.

  6. TT does know how to get rid of players at the right time. No one’s disputing that. We just wish he knew how to bring in NEW players to replace them, and other than Rodgers and Jennings, he hasn’t.
